So… this has not been my year.

And though I haven’t been feeling like doodling lately (I promise I’ll get back to it when things feel normal again) I have been thinking about my art and what makes it special.

I like to think of my artwork as a museum to everything I’ve ever loved, past and present. I get a lot of inspiration from my life, and from the things that have both impacted me and brought me joy.

And through it all, I know that the one constant in my life is my art. When everything else feels unsteady, I know I can turn to it and get my feelings out.

That’s why this art block is so difficult right now. While I am able to express myself with other hobbies, like the gym and crafting, it just doesn’t feel the same.

I don’t really know how to end this post, but I guess I’ll say that art is everywhere and our lives are full of feelings and stories that make us who we are. And maybe there’s beauty in that. by @sharkboystuff

Luca’s Can of Gnocchi is now available on the online store!

This weekend, I took a digital detox and watched the new Carrie show with my mom. If you know me, I’m more of a campy horror fan. But this was so good? I was not expecting the incredible performances from everyone in the cast.

The only warning I will give is that this is a retelling of the story of Carrie, so please keep an open mind while watching. Horror is all about the reveal, and boy does this show do that incredibly well.

I will also be posting a giveaway for 8,000 followers soon so keep your eyes peeled 👀

When @izzy.lee.originals reached out to me to make a piece for their 2027 2SLGBTQIA+ Calendar, I was initially stumped on what to do.

I got the month April, and I thought back to my trip to San Jose last April- where I made some new friends and attended Sharks Pride Night.

So, I decided to do draw a pick-up game of ball hockey. I wanted to make sure that the players and spectators all looked distinctly different.

I truly believe sports are for everyone, but they're a lot more fun when there's queer and trans people involved.

You can preorder one through the link in my bio!

National Coming Out Day is in a few days, so... guess it's my turn?

I identify as a trans man, and I also identify as queer. Though I'm aware that this term has been used to make people feel bad in the past, to me being queer is the best way I can describe myself.

For someone who has worn a lot of labels through his life, "queer" feels like the best way to describe my attraction to other people.

And since this reminder is needed...
- No matter how traditionally masculine I may appear, I'm still queer.
- No matter who I date, I'm still queer.
- No matter how I move through the world, I'm still queer.

I had to include the Ocean Vuong quote at the end here, because when I first realized I wasn't straight, I thought I was being punished. I already came out as trans at the ripe old age of 21! Little did I know, I was just going on another journey to figure out who I was.

To me, being queer isn't just about no labels. It's about going against the grain. It's about reinventing and creating something resilient within yourself.

It's also about finding funky patterned socks, but more on that another day. by @sharkboystuff

I am honored and incredibly fortunate to have received the Designing Equality award from Garden State Equality tonight.

Thank you @gsequality for helping me serve LGBTQIA2S+ folks through @sharkboystuff and @njqtmm.

I feel very lucky to serve my community, to advocate for them, and to represent them. It’s a huge honor to create spaces and art that people feel seen in!

Now it’s time to put the work in action. We have our annual Magic Market on Saturday, and I already know it’s going to be the best event yet! taken in Garden State Equality by @sharkboystuff

Oh my god everyone. Sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. I got sick at the beginning of the month + started school at the same time.
I busted my butt to get this done. It was a huge labor of love. But I finished the calendar design, + sent the proof off to all the artists for approval.
Once everyone approves it, I’ll be doing a small pre-order so we get a physical proof from the printer. God I hope that goes well. Then we’ll start pre-orders. Keep your eye out on our pages during October for the announcement!
Thank you to everyone who participated in this project. We created a beautiful calendar, + I am excited to see the support we get.
I can’t invite everyone to be a collaborator so please check out all the tags of everyone who is participating! @faerie_warrior @coffeebreathcreations @octopussdesign @bent.queershop @amelia.mellberg.arts @natnkeecustoms @sharkboystuff @art_by_vargas @ghostsofcrows @fibersweb by @sharkboystuff

A mini photoshoot with the Pride Hockey Sweater :-)

I’m getting better at stickhandling, but I think my passing needs work… it’s hard to pass when you don’t have anyone else to play with but I’ve been using a scarecrow as a reference point!

Can’t wait to where this out more when hockey season officially returns in a week!!!! by @sharkboystuff
