Forever grateful to this amazing man who’s been by my side through all the hardships life has thrown at us these past 17 months. He saw me at my absolute worst, picked me up off the ground or caught me every time I collapsed, turned dining room chairs into wheelchairs when I couldn’t walk, was always right by my side with a cold washcloth or warm blanket when I needed it. He drove me to countless doctor appointments and happily sat right next to me for hours upon hours of chemo treatments. He is my rock and my hero. I am so excited to start this next chapter of our life together. Duane, I love you with every ounce of my being. ❤️❤️❤️ by @sharkdaily

I made a story but my gratitude and this outpouring of love deserves more than just a 24 hour time line. I am touched to my core by the support and love I’ve been getting and what I saw take place at both Southern Star Tattoo locations on Shark Day. It was a very emotional day for all of us and I’m so honored that all of you came out to show your love and support for not only me but my SST family who worked so hard on putting such a beautiful and magical day together for me. I was sent so many wonderful photos and videos of the event and I got to FaceTime in a few times and see so many special faces. I am eternally grateful and may never actually be able to articulate how I feel but please know I will never, ever, ever forget how special this community is and the love and support that I’ve received. Thank you to the artists and restaurants who donated such BEAUTIFUL items and gift cards for the AMAZING raffle! I am still completely blown away. I walked into this cancer fight swinging and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon! I LOVE YOU ALL!! You left this world a year ago today and I still feel the impact of losing you every, single, day. Charlie, you were THE BEST boy; my best friend for 12 1/2 years. From the very beginning we developed our little routine and I sometimes still catch myself in it. When I pull down the driveway to leave, I look to your window to wave to you and you’re not there. It’s strange not letting you outside as soon as I wake up or before I lay down. The world seems darker without your sunny, smiling presence but I take comfort in knowing you’re up there in Doggy Heaven, running around at top speed, chasing cats and barking at kids. I love you so much, my sweetest boy. I miss you so much, my little chicken.
