soft moments and salman toor, from the machine.

I (and many of my friends) have been soaked admirers and lovers and fans of salman toor’s work albeit from afar. Finally seeing his work in person felt like the first time tasting maple syrup from maple trees we’d pass by gleaming at all the time. I couldn’t stop staring into his portraits, their swollen round noses almost touching mine. Their slouched backs, their innocent eyes. All curtained in his signature strokes of stellar green pigments- it’s as if you’re looking at his world through a green stained glass. And then there is so much grief in them, it elicits a sigh from you on behalf of the subject.
