ATLAS HOUSE has been on my bucket list for long and strongly recommended by my younger daughter Sharon Moses . Last evening as the family met after a long time we decided to dine at the Atlas House and both food and ambience are simple , straightforward and top notch !!

Breads are a must try with the softest Pitas , Fluffy and light Garlic Focaccia and Zatar Shokupan accompanied with Mediterranean Dips such as Muhammarra , Sundried Tomato Hummus to name a few with unique toppings such as green grapes and roasted chickpeas .

Pulled Chicken Salad was different from regular salads as it had more pulled chicken and less salad leaves as in most joints leaves occupy more space in the salad bowl . Pulled chicken was absolutely succulent and flavourful .

Turkish Beef Seekh Kebab was perfect and the Roasted Banana Chilli made a difference to the platter .

Atlas House Signature Pilaf has both nonvegetarian and vegetarian options and we opted for the Lamb Pilaf . This Mediterranean style Pilaf has Dried fruits and Saffron . The berries in the Pilaf lend sweetness to the dish . Served hot at the table and mixed evenly at the table this Pilaf is non greasy , meaty and aromatic !

Fresh flavours , good Portion size made it a ‘value for money ‘ experience!! Churros toast with chocolate sauce and caramel and the Flourless chocolate cake added warmth to our meal .

Last evening Executive Chef Balaji felicitated my hubby , a Ship Captain and my Pilot daughters with Culinary Creativity !!

I was absolutely touched by the platter which showcased an Ocean liner , Two Indigo flights and One Air India flight !!! .

The Edible lettering said ‘ A Pilot commands the Skies and a Captain commands the Seas but a true Leader commands Respect through Wisdom and Responsibility !! Remarkable words which are so significant and meaningful…

My daughters enjoyed the chocolate mounds which had premium chocolate combined with salted buttery cookies for the crunch . Air India pilot claimed she had more chocolate than the Indigo pilot and both the pilots devoured the platter on arrival .!!

Thanks Executive Chef Balaji and Team Park Hyatt , truly grateful for offering the best to my family who met each other after a long time , a Legacy of Captains indeed !!!

The Golden Dragon , TAJ COROMANDEL is a preferred destination for the best of Chinese . Chef Srinivasan s forte is fresh flavours , seasonal produce , minimalism and authenticity. Egg Drop Soup was a clear broth with the perfect egg drop and the broth spiked with Bird s eye chilli !

Crackling Spinach , Caramelised walnuts was a play on textures and this platter is a personal favourite !!

Congee Crispy Lamb , a crave worthy starter which is deeply addictive was cooked to perfection with a rich aroma . Chicken Sui Mai and Prawn Hargau were delightful mouthfuls and the fillings bouncy , tender and juicy

Egg Foo Yong was a classic savoury cross between a Chinese omelette and Frittata studded with shrimps !!

Butter Garlic Tofu is definitely one of the best versions of Tofu I ve tasted with soft tofu stir fried with butter , garlic and Sichuan pepper .

Guandong Fish Rice Bowl is the Chef s Special with seasonal greens , fresh catch , basic seasoning and jasmine rice making it a healthy , savoury ,satisfying, umami bowl .

Orange Peel icecream with walnuts is yet another standard favorite at the Golden Dragon . Legendary Pastry Chef Ravi Varma s Belgian Walnut Cake is a must at home for Birthday celebrations and thanks Team Golden Dragon for making it memorable.

Outstanding flavours coupled with prompt , courteous service made our day and wishing Team Golden Dragon the very best !

PEP ASIA , Anna Nagar, Chennai truly is one of the best Destinations for Asian food . Chef Arvind at the helm ensures the best of Umami flavours and I was really looking forward to this meal .

Vietnamese Chicken Salad with mint had tender chicken and the salad was vibrant , fresh and well balanced . I thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Herbal soup which was infused with Thai aromatics and the coconutty flavours the best I have had in a long time .

Malaysian Kicap Chilli Chicken is one of their signature dishes and so is the Black Pepper Tenderloin . Both were tossed well , meat of premium quality .

Hainanese Chicken Rice for mains was spot on and the Peking Duck Fried Rice absolutely novel and aromatic . Chilli Oyster Prawns was the accompaniment with fresh prawns tossed with XO and Oyster sauce .

Pandan Caramel Custard was smooth and creamy and Kueh Dadar delish and perfect . Outstanding Desserts for a well balanced meal !!

Wishing Chef Arvind , Team Pep Asia the very best in all their endeavours..

PARK BRASSERIE, PARK HYATT offers a wide variety of varied dishes from different cuisines . Salads always have the wow factor , Yoghurt station with creamy Dahi being the main component, Live Bao station with both Tofu and Chicken Bao .

Pollo Sofrito , Spanish chicken dish , Mexican Bean Stew , Macaroni Baked with Squash were part of the terrific spread . Keema Bowl live station with Lamb Keema as well as Soya Keema looked appetising with various condiments .

Vietnamese Pho station was an added attraction with fresh ingredients assembled for the Pho . Biryanis both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian are always packed with flavour and fragrant rice .

Desserts crown it all with Tiramisu shots , Madelines , Date Pudding with Toffee sauce and the Moist Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese frosting was full of the old world charm !

Thanks Team Park Brasserie for always offering the best at your Dinner Buffets !

Truly happy to dine at MR ONG this evening and the food and service was top notch !!

It warmed my heart that Hainanese Chicken Rice has been re introduced in the menu and Chef Manas deserves a lot of credit as this dish which involves a lot of technique was spot on . The rice was flavourful, the aromatic stock served alongside with the trio of dipping sauces enhanced the flavours . The rice by itself was deeply savoury on its own .

The portion served made it a hearty meal , tender poached chicken , steamed Bokchoy and sliced cucumber elevated the dish .

Thanks Chef Manas , Chef Rathina , Chef Thygarajan and Team Mr ONG for a pleasant dining experience. Service by Kaustav prompt and courteous as always !!

PARK BRASSERIE Dinner Buffet has a vast spread of dishes from different cuisines and the bottom line is Taste and Authenticity.

The live counters included the Pasta counter and the Burmese Khowsuey counter. Burmese Khowsuey was spot on with the condiments enhancing the flavours .

Corn Pulao and Mutton Biryani was appealing , Cajun Marinated Roast chicken succulent , Asian counter had Hakka Noodles , Thai Green curry , Coconut Jasmine Rice , Kung Pao Chicken . A variety of North Indian dishes both vegetarian and North Indian dishes adorned the counters.

Salads are varied , fresh and each one has a unique touch . Yoghurt station had creamy curd rice and Dahi Bonda .

Desserts and Pastries are always an attraction at the Park Brasserie and a lot of effort in offering the best of the Delish .

HDC membership is always value for money and the Park Brasserie is a personal favourite always .Service by Kaustav last evening was prompt and courteous.

Sunday evening Dinner at Park Brasserie is something I look forward to and this evening the AWADHI delicacies were truly a treat .

Chef Dhanwan Negi and Chef Tanmoy presented a special platter of melt in the mouth kebabs which were tender with a rich blend of spices .. the iconic Kakori Kebabs with royal fragrance , Panch Poran Chicken Tikka , Lamb Galouti Kebabs and each kebab is definitely a labour of love .

Awadhi Murgh Biryani was outstanding and I was happy to meet Chef Tanmoy and discuss the biryani at length . The Awadhi masala is made in house and the Biryani was aromatic with subtle flavours .

Alamgir style Band Gosht is a rich mutton curry cooked with yoghurt cashew paste in a sealed pot and the tender pieces of mutton in the rich gravy paired well with the laccha paratha which was flaky and soft .

Thanks Executive Chef Balaji , Chef Negi and Chef Tanmoy for making it a special meal taking me to the streets of Lucknow !!

ASIAN MASTERCLASS at THE PARK , Chennai had Dragon Uramaki and MISO RAMEN as part of the menu this morning.

The culinary workshop was interesting as Chef Thomas explained various techniques of preparing the sushis . Steaming the Sushi Rice , cooling it and stuffing after placing the sushi mat had students enthralled this afternoon .

Toppings such as Tuna , Salmon and Avocado were cut with the right technique . Miso Ramen ( vegetarian broth ) was the next dish . Students got a good portion of Sushis to taste post the session and a mini Thai lunch was served to all the students .

We received certificates for completing the Asian MasterClass and the class was organised professionally . Thanks Team The Park , Chennai

The Madras Musical Association presented Henry Purcell s Dido & Aeneas featuring Soloists , Choir and Orchestra of the MMA this evening at the Museum Theatre , Chennai . This is a full fledged Baroque Opera conducted by Mr Augustine Paul , Choreographed and Directed by Deepa Nambiar .

Many choirs in the city have done musicals in the past but this is the first time an Opera has been sung and enacted in Chennai city and this deserves much appreciation.

It is always a pleasure to hear the renowned Tenor soloist and vocal trainer Ebenezer Arunkumar performing and I was happy to note Ebby play the role of a carefree sailor man . The light hearted song contrasts sharply witb the heavy drama unfolding .

Well done Team Madras Musical Association, Best wishes for all your endeavours!!

RITVAH , TIRAMISU CART , CARAVAN BAY , SPINWHEEL BAR , RASPBERRY LICK were the Dessert counters as part of the well curated Bespoke menu last evening at ITC GRAND CHOLA .

Pastry Chef Yash explained the RITVAH , the latest edition at ITC GRAND CHOLA , presenting sweets in contemporary form. The Coffee Fudge Barfi and the Besan Tart with Phirni were some of my personal favourites .

Tiramisu Cart had the all time favorite Ottimo s Tiramisu which is truly fabulous .

Caravan Bay had icecream and gelato with cones , waffles and bombilinis . My choice was Baileys Gelato with a waffle cone !!

Spinning the Wheel Bar was exciting as I had to spin the wheel to choose my bar and I simply enjoyed the white chocolate hazelnut bar .

Raspberry Lick was absolutely unique as luscious lips were designed with Rasberry flavour and one had to just take a cookie and smear it on the lips and add the required topping !!

Way to go Chef Yash and Team ITC Grand Chola !!
