This Republic Day we took a pledge .

A pledge to live by ‘Our’ Constitution of India ~ to live with compassion.

Article 51 A (g) of the Indian Constitution lends a voice to our animals - the children of our Bharat Ma .

Our Motherland is not so small so as not to bestow a life of dignity to her animals .

Our Motherland is all embracing and wears upon her the crown 👑 of compassion. 🩷

With the fire of hope in our hearts we, not only in DEHRADUN but across the country stand together as one voice for our street animals.

If they can’t speak we can and we will till our last breath - for we wish to have a world where there is peaceful coexistence and a world that hones and nurtures compassion and love NOT exclusion and hatred.

This is not about them or us alone . THIS IS A MATTER OF GRAVE CONCERN for it threatens our VALUE SYSTEM and questions our INTEGRITY as a Nation.

Is our legal system going against all that we hold sacred ?

The very basis of our existence is love - and as a collective consciousness we are being called to stand tall to our higher selves not stoop down towards savagery .

The very thought of mass pounding without a scientific system in place equals to ABUSE , NEGLECT AND DEATH .

Where lies the ‘honour’ therein ?

May the light of wisdom dawn in the hearts of decision makers - may the values of inclusion, kindness and compassion infuse within and without .

Jai Bharat Ma

It takes just a moment to light up hearts ! 💫

We, at Sharnagat, are always welcoming our human family to come in and share n spread their love - for you it may be a an hour or two - but for the animals here it translates into - happy dreams, the comfort of being seen and loved, a little jig, - happy meal, a priceless and cherished moment.

It’s a BIG deal for us when we witness love in motion 🎬

Thanking @tajmussooriefoothills for honouring the legacy of @ratantata ji in embracing life in all forms.

With a beam of hope in our heart we, at Dehradun, gathered at our GPO with a single and simple intention - an intention that upholds compassion, inclusion and justice for our community animals.

We received letters from CHILDREN at school who see community dogs as playmates and not a threat. They even feel dogs are intelligent beings and know their boundaries .

We received letters from a rehabilitation centre where the INMATES strongly feel that the presence of dogs lift up their spirits n gives them a ray of joy .

We had LABOURERS who gathered to have their voice heard hoping their four legged friends are not snatched from their localities.

We had the ELDERLY and the OFFICE going.

Many friends and relatives sent their letter petitions.

Though the letter petition is everyone’s way of silently voicing a grave concern , in no way can I say anyone’s heart is at rest UNTIL the order is reviewed and recalled.

In a unified voice we appeal that a more humane approach be adopted .

Our community dogs are ours not to collect and pound but to adopt , nurture and care for. And that’s what responsible community living is .

We cannot leave behind a legacy of hatred and exclusion .
Our children must grow with values of compassionate co existence, responsible, humane and tolerant behaviour .

Our community animals are community guardians.

Our motherland is as much theirs as it is ours .
And they too deserve to live a life of DIGNITY.

Our chance to stand together as ONE voice for animals .

Our Country - Our Dogs- Our Voice .

We want a gentle and compassionate world for our animals .

Not a world of horror, fear and mass murder.

Let’s make sure our voice is LOUDER than the noise of injustice .

Hope to have many people show presence on this crucial day .

YOUR VOICE MATTERS.

Jai Hind.

Here is DEHRADUN’s loud and bold reply to Supreme Court’s order of removal of all stray animals. We love our animals and we’ll protect them from your greedy and corrupt shadow.
