Inspired by the Intersections charcuterie board design created by student Sharon Ngassa ’21, this original work by AVP of Student Craft Aaron Beale for Crafted at Boone Tavern champions the beauty and complexity of the world we live in and the differences inside every individual.

Sharon’s original design is based loosely on diagrams she had seen in class depicting circles of color as a means of representing both the differences inside all of us as individuals and the need for that difference inside any healthy society.

One pan, flavorful and only 15 minutes of Prep.
Ingredients :
- 2 pounds(1kg) Turkey Thighs
- 4-5 cloves of garlic grated
- 1 tbsp smoked Paprika
- 1 tbsp Herb blend (Rosemary,thyme,Oregano)
- Salt or salt free seasoning
- Black pepper
- 1 large onion sliced
- Fresh rosemary twigs (optional, for extra flavor)

In a Bowl, wash, and pat dry the turkey thighs, lightly season with salt and black pepper
In a bowl mix the grated garlic, paprika, herb blend, olive oil and red peppercorns.
Coat the turkey thighs in the seasoning mixture, making sure every piece is well covered
Layer sliced onions in a baking dish and place the turkey thighs on top.
Add fresh rosemary twigs over the turkey for extra aroma (optional but recommended)
Roast in a preheated oven at 350F(175°C) for about 1.5 hours total
- after 30 mins check for color
- At 1 hour baste the turkey in its own juices
- At 1.5 hour it should be golden,juicy, and falling off the bone!!
Serve with rice, veggies or your favorite sides.
Easy, flavorful and perfect for weeknight dinner.

Oeschinensee was breathtaking. The kind of place that makes you wish you paid attention in literature class so you could more easily retrieve the perfect word to describe it. It’s 3 hours away from Geneva, so it’s perfect for a day trip, and there are cable cars and mini shuttle buses making it doable for all fitness levels (although the buses were like 10 francs per person, so we chose to suffer instead).

Some of the view points are quite easy to get to and others are a little trickier to navigate. I wore regular running shoes and my life only flashed before my eyes once or twice. Haters will say I was clinging to the rocks so forcefully that I lost two press-ons, but personally I know not what they refer to.

We were lucky enough to have intermittent bursts of sunlight, despite the weather forecast. But it was still freezing and I started regretting my outfit choice halfway through. Thankfully, my brother had a jacket and I have open eye so that problem was very quickly resolved.

All this to say, 10/10 trip, would definitely do it again. Ideally when the water is warm enough to swim.

P.S. this is apparently not a crater lake, it was formed by landslides approximately 3200 years ago. (I had to look this up because my siblings kept asking me).
