Why is it always so fucking terrifying to put your work out into the world..? Here's the trailer for new show Youth on @hbo and @hbomax Starts September 20th. I've been making it for ages. It's hard to articulate exactly what's it's about but the title comes from 50 being the Youth of old age and I felt I had things to say about that. It is beyond a labour of love. Hope you like it See below for important blurb The HBO Original comedy series YOUTH, created by and starring @SharonHorgan, will premiere with the first two episodes on SUNDAY 20th SEPTEMBER at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT (6am Mondays for those in the UK!) on HBO and will be available to stream on @HBOMax. New episodes of the 8-episode season will debut weekly on Sundays at the same time, concluding with the season finale on Sunday 1st November. YOUTH follows a 50-year-old divorcee’s search for sex and love whilst juggling caring for her ailing parents and parenting her should-be grown up son.   Cast includes - @SharonHorgan (Alex), @RupertFriend (Patrick), @SharleneWhyte (Sam), @AranMurphyofficial (Ruari), and @Robbie.Gee1 (Frank).  YOUTH is produced by Merman. Sharon Horgan stars in, writes, and executive produces the series. Let’s hear it for Sharon Horgan, the voice of a generation.   Brutally honest and brilliantly funny, the actor, writer and director has made a career out of speaking her truth – even if that takes courage. ‘Fear drives me a lot,’ she tells @lauracraik in the latest issue of Grazia magazine, on sale tomorrow. ‘It’s that uncomfortable place where you don’t know if it’s good or bad, too much or not enough… You have to follow the instinct that told you to write in the first place.’   As her latest laugh-out-loud TV show ‘Youth’ nears its finale, Horgan talks about dating in her fifties, why writing about her exes is ‘fair game’ and finding comedy in the hardest situations.   @sharonhorgan   Photographer: @philipgay Stylist: @sophievanders at @onerepresents Hair: @nickirwinhair using @schwarzkopfpro Make-up: @carolinebarnesmakeup using @diorbeauty Nails: @emmanailz at @sb.collective_ Photography assistant: cameronsmith.co.uk Fashion assistant: @amber.is Shoot producer: @annadews Art director: @elliepa1mer   Sharon wears: @maisonalaia from @foundandvision @georgjensen   Editor: @franceshedges Creative director: @cazroberts Deputy editor: @hanna_woodside Style director: @whatmollysees by @sharonhorgan
