Another vulnerable dump 🤍

I honestly had one of the hardest weeks of my LIFEEEEE, and I wish I was exaggerating. I was exhausted in a way that felt deeper than just being tired. Living felt heavy. One day while driving, I was crying, and the only thing that kept echoing in my mind was the fact that my life is not my own. In the middle of the chaos, there was comfort in knowing that God is still the One who holds everything together. There is beauty, peace, and freedom in surrendering to that truth. God’s really is my everything. by @sharonitakpe

For over a year, my voice went quiet on this platform
Not because I lost my song,
but because I thought I had to earn the right to sing it

I hid behind perfection
ashamed of unfinished series,
ashamed of unfinished me

I made myself believe
that I couldn’t draw near, if I wasn’t overflowing
as if He needed my cup full to be worthy of His well

I was waiting until I felt “holy enough,”
as if I could formulate what was Holy to the Holy One.
I saved my oil, sealing it tight
convincing myself it’d be better
when I was better

But I know now that nothing I do can perfect me.
It is He who works in me
both to will and to do.
It is His holiness
that makes me holy

So now, I pour my oil
Not because I’ve reached the end,
but because I’ve been found in the middle.
I offer what I have… myself…
a living, breathing, unfinished song.

Here’s to the end of false perfection.
Here’s to vulnerability.
Here’s to a life poured out.
Here’s to the Songbird who sings again
knowing He who began a good work in me

The Elisha to my Elijah, the Joshua to my Moses, the Isaac to my “Abrahama” (I’m wearing that title for today only 😂).

I love you ever so deeply. walking through life with you has been one of my sweetest honors, watching you unfold into the beautiful woman God always saw you as 🥹.

I pray that this year you will flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. rest and peace will be your portion forever and always. my life is better with you in it!
