I cherish the time when I get to see this kiddo play lacrosse. Did a quick “day trip” to Long Island today to watch some fall ball. It was an absolutely gorgeous day in NY 😘 Looking forward to another fun season with the foxes 🦊 🥰🥍 …and my son told me he cannot wait until I visit next week so we can go grocery shopping 🤪🤣 by @sharonleia3

My beautiful daughter Jenna is 22 today! Hard to believe she is all grown up and out in the world. This morning my son had the honor of running the Tunnel to Towers 5K in NYC alongside his Marist Lacrosse teammates. The skies were stormy but nothing could dampen the meaning of the day. The team spent time at the WTC and each of them wore a red bandana in honor of Welles Crowther, the young lacrosse player whose courage on 9/11 saved lives and whose red bandana has become a symbol of selfless service. As a military family the meaning of this fills our heart with pride.
A heartfelt thank you to the Marist coaches, @kwilks4 and the Walser family for helping to make this day possible. It is one I’m sure this team will carry with them the rest of their lives. #tunneltotowers #neverforget #redbandana #wellescrowther #maristlacrosse by @sharonleia3

Happy 20th Birthday Jayce!! I am sitting here trying to figure out how those 20 years flew by. I remember holding you for the first time when you were born and here you are in college. 🥹 I hope you have the best bday ever! We love you so much and I feel blessed everyday that I get to be your mom…can’t wait to watch you play lacrosse again this year!! I don’t think I will ever forget this day…I remember the horror of watching this happen in real time and the aftermath of this awful event. My husband left his job and joined the military right after this happened … and my son followed in his footsteps. It is hard to believe this was so long ago because to me, it feels like yesterday. Praying still for all the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy and for all the first responders who continue to suffer related to this. NYC will never be the same city it once was.
