Hear me out, I’m not saying don’t do your research. Research is important when starting anything new (like building a business).📚

I am saying that too much research can become a sophisticated disguise to avoid the discomfort of actually beginning.

I know because I’ve been there. You feel like you just need one more course, one more book, one more podcast episode, and then you can start. Analysis paralysis is real.

The truth is you will never feel fully ready. And your first try won’t be perfect but that is okay. That’s how you learn and improve.

At some point you just have to take what you do know and take action. Because imperfect action will always beat perfect inaction.

It does not have to make sense and I know that is a lot easier said than done.

Especially if you are someone who loves to have everything planned out, you carry the planner, you write things down after you already did them just so you can cross them off, you have told only your closest friend about your idea but not anyone else, and you keep convincing yourself you just need one more sign before you start.

But God rarely gives us the full picture before He asks us to move. He gives us enough light for the next step and asks us to trust Him with the rest.

That business idea that keeps coming back no matter how many times you talk yourself out of it? That nudge you keep feeling to finally start? That God given dream you have been sitting on because you do not feel ready or sure of how it is all going to work out?

God is not asking you to have it all figured out before you move.

He is just asking, do you trust Him enough to move?

I have to remind myself of this almost daily.

It can be hard when you are waiting to reach certain milestones in life (like marriage) or in your business but I remind myself that I don’t want to be so busy looking ahead that I miss the beauty of this moment.

Right now matters. The growth happens in the journey. The preparation happens in the journey.

“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:25

I am choosing to enjoy where I am. The milestones are coming and when they do I want to look back and be grateful for everything this season grew in me. I hope you can too.
