Y’all remember a few months ago Robert and I came up with the idea of doing breakfast bowls that we distributed at our back gate and called it ‘Backgate Breakfast Bowls’?

Well we’re doing it again! I had an idea….i always have ideas and when I do, Robert gives those deep sighs that come from his soul hahahahahaha! It’s like what are you signing us up for now? 🤭😜

I was thinking that since it’s Kweyol Heritage Month next month let’s do the breakfast bowls every Sunday for the entire month of October and offer authentic local dishes…what do you think?

So after church or before you head out on a Sunday you can swing by and pick up your breakfast bowl! It’s a grab ‘n go so it will be pre-packaged and you just pick up and go! What you think of that?!

Let the fun and excitement of Jounen Kweyol begin! Lemme tell you we have to make excitement in our lives for ourselves and that’s what I’m doing!!!! lol! I’m so excited to do this!

Beginning Sunday, October 4 we will kick off our Back-Gate Breakfast Bowls - the Kweyol Edition! We’re starting with roasted salted sardines and stewed liver with bread. Every week we’ll offer two dishes! Each bowl is accompanied by a cup of Cocoa Tea! Bob’s Blendz - Robs innovative blends of local juice will also be available…..sooooooo what do you think? I am convinced now that teaching is the gift that keeps on giving as they say.

Today we had an early morning visitor from Dr. Tanya Destang-Beaubrun ‘Bubbles’ one of my Mother’s Gurls from stage 3, Ave Maria

The love between those two has been strong, ongoing and everlasting!

And Bubbles came bearing gifts as she formally handed her old Teacher a copy of her latest book by @sharonwilliams8690

Just realizing that I had some pics I wanted to share

These are A FEW of the phenomenal women my Mother taught many, MANY yeats ago.

Think of it, they were just seven years old at the time and they still remember their Stage 3 Teacher with love and kindness. That they took time off their very busy schedules to spend time with her… I am forever grateful and you each henceforth hold a very special place in my heart(Did you see I said “henceforth”? I think this is the first time that I ever really used that word 😅😅😅)

So here are those beautiful fierce females who immediately turn to little Girla again in the presence of my Ma. It’s something to behold lemme tell you 😆😆😆 by @sharonwilliams8690

Rob and I are in a dilemma and I’m hoping you can help?

As you may know, it’s always been Robert’s dream to cook up some dishes to sell on Carnival Tuesday, which is today lol!

He’s toiled and created and has been ready to roll but his ride fell through, so we have the food but no outlet to sell them…

Would you be interested in buying? I know it’s late and last minute but…well that’s what makes it a dilemma 😞

The food is good! They’re ‘Bouillion, Breadfruit and Bacchanal Bowls’ (that’s the name I’ve given it of course) And he’s made them, chock full of love!!

All bowls are &25 and are sold with a complimentary juice. We have golden apple and his own blend of pineapple and sorrel!

So a Company here - Seafood Meats and More - is doing a Mothers’s Day Special that I found was so excellent I decided I would share with you via a short video.

Do yall still read/buy/subscribe to hard copy magazines? Or maybe you have a stack destined for the trash? I need them to make vision boards with some young people! Friendship goals!

Now in their nineties, these two - my Mother Mrs. Cynthia Williams (left) and Mrs. Uril St.Clair mother of Marcella St Clair have been friends for decades.

According to their accounts they became friends in their twenties and today, more than seven decades later they are still firm friends!

This is a friendship that has survived distance, life, loss, grief and many many many achievements!

How lucky they are to have this! Boyyyy to see and them reminisce! A history lesson all in itself!

We are desperately in need of someone to put up our outside Christmas lights, in time for my Mothersm’s birthday next Wednesday. Who do you use?
Our usual guy is not fully recovered from falling off a roof poor guy, so he’s not able. It would makes my Mother so happy, to have her lights up. I really want to get this done for her… HELLLLPPPP!!!! by @sharonwilliams8690
