We’re putting up donation bins out at the start and the end asking for new wool clothing for our unhoused neighbors, who are facing state violence by homelessness in so called “Minneapolis/Saint Paul”. Winter approaches and policies enforced by violent racist and sexist systems, capitalist/class interests and greed have continued because Mayor Frey and Mayor Her have spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer money to bulldoze and sweep encampments instead of providing solutions.. while being stuck to the pockets of outside developers and capitalists, thus furthering gentrification, trauma, and economic disparity, by fueling violent racist capitalism.

Let’s organize wool goods and ride bikes together 🧦 where else should we pop up bins?
Bring some new wool socks/clothing and/or come out and ride! :)
October 18th, 10:30am bike paths and trails, stopping at Sochaki bike jumps for some tea and snacks. 🫖😋 Starting at @sharpsignco on Downling, 8ish miles, chill pace, no drop!

Another Sabo Grocery ride this Sunday too! 10am rolling ♥️🛒

Show love and support to all the local mutual aid orgs working year round to provide lifesaving care to our neighbors while the state, elected “leaders”, the system continues to fail them and criminalize them.

Running is not a prerequisite to attend any of our events, we’re excited to host our first race as a chance share what we’re thinking running should and could be; to completely create the culture that surrounds the sport and to share that with you for one night. Cool Runnings is partnering up with @blackmenruntc and @runblk to bring you Victory Lap, a 4 x 1 Mile Relay for Black athletes on Victory Memorial. Each runner will run one mile and be on a four-member team.

Sign up at coolrunnings.run or link in bio: Identify your estimated mile time and pay your $10 bib fee. Then identify your team name or elect to be placed on a team we curate. All paces are welcomed and heats will be assigned based on the estimated team finishing time. Cash prize for the winning team!

Spectators and volunteers from all racial identities are welcomed as we celebrate and center Black athletes accross the Twin Cities. Any donation amount for your ticket will go towards the programming for Cool Runnings 2027 and is fully tax-deductible as a project of @hatchandflock.

Cool Runnings is led by Kelsi Sharp of @sharpsignco and Dr. Terresa Hardaway of @blackbirdrevolt, certified run coaches brinigng you a Black, queer, and women-led running space where all are welcome.
