𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓.

La voce di Sergio Tavčar non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Dal 1971, attraverso TV Koper-Capodistria, ha raccontato il basket a livello internazionale, diventando una delle voci più riconoscibili e autorevoli di questo sport.

Nel suo ultimo libro, 𝑪’𝒆𝒓𝒂 𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒕𝒂 𝒍’𝑵𝑩𝑨, una lettura imperdibile per tutti gli appassionati di basket, Tavčar ripercorre la storia della lega più famosa del mondo, soffermandosi sulla sua epoca d’oro tra gli anni ’80 e ’90 e su quello che, secondo la sua visione, è stato il successivo declino. E proprio in quegli anni si inserisce Michael Jordan, simbolo dell’apice raggiunto dall’NBA.

In quelle pagine, però, c’è anche un po’ di Shattered Backboard. Perché l’autore, parlando di quella sera del 26 agosto 1985, decide di soffermarsi anche sulla nostra mostra Through The Glass, che tra il 2025 e il 2026 ha attraversato le principali città della regione, e sulle uniche repliche ufficiali mai prodotte della canotta indossata da Jordan quella sera, realizzate assieme a Massimo Piubello e Stefanel.

Ritrovare tutto questo nero su bianco, nelle pagine scritte da una leggenda come Tavčar, è veramente un onore.

𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓.

Sergio Tavčar needs no introduction. Since 1971, through TV Koper-Capodistria, he’s been one of the defining voices of international basketball, a voice that became part of the game itself.

In his latest book, 𝑪’𝒆𝒓𝒂 𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒕𝒂 𝒍’𝑵𝑩𝑨, a must-read for every basketball fan, Tavčar takes a deep dive into the history of the world’s most famous basketball league, looking back at its golden era in the ’80s and ’90s and, from his own perspective, at what followed. And right there, at the heart of that golden age, is Michael Jordan, one of the ultimate symbols of the NBA at its peak.

And then, unexpectedly, there’s a little piece of Shattered Backboard in the story.

While talking about that unforgettable night in Trieste on August 26, 1985, Tavčar also mentions our Through The Glass exhibition, which traveled across the region between 2025 and 2026, along with the only official re by @shattered___backboard

Today is a special day. You know it.

So we decided to make it special.

Many of you know that, 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒚, 41 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒈𝒐, Michael Jordan was in Trieste for an exhibition game as part of Nike’s European tour promoting the Air Jordan line. The plan was for MJ to play one half in the iconic orange-and-black Stefanel Trieste jersey, and the other half in a Juve Caserta jersey.

But that never happened.

The Juve Caserta jersey, manufactured by Piubello Abbigliamento Sportivo, made a brief appearance during the early warm-up. Then, it was never seen again.

On this day, we decided it was time to bring it back into the game.

Almost a year since we kicked off Through The Glass in Chiarbola, Trieste.

What started with a special event on the anniversary of Jordan’s ’85 game in Trieste travelled across the region. From our two-day show in Trieste to stops in Udine, Pordenone, Cividale and Gorizia, we got to work alongside some of the biggest basketball clubs in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

𝗠𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝟮: 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲, 𝗨𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲, 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗮.

Questo è un grazie speciale. Ieri sera si è concluso un capitolo importante per il nostro progetto e vogliamo dedicare un piccolo tributo a tutte le persone che sono state al nostro fianco durante Through The Glass. Ringraziamo quindi @apu.udine, @sistemabasket_pn_official, @uebcividale e @dinamo609. In ognuna di queste realtà abbiamo trovato calore, entusiasmo e persone speciali. Insieme abbiamo creato qualcosa di unico e mai realizzato prima. E di questo siamo orgogliosi.

Ieri, in un PalaBigot stracolmo, abbiamo chiuso l’ultimo evento di questo nostro tour del Friuli Venezia Giulia. Una cornice unica, che ci ha fatto respirare passione e cultura sportiva dall’apertura della mostra fino al dopo partita.

Un immenso grazie ai numerosi partecipanti, a @dinamo609 per l’ospitalità, a @_chespettacolo_ per la collaborazione e a @uncanestroperte per il supporto in quest’ultimo capitolo della mostra.

Il successo più importante però è stato il ricavo di questa lotteria, perché siamo riusciti a raccogliere quasi €4.000, che verranno interamente devoluti a @uncanestroperte.
