I never thought my first 10k, I would be doing it with @raqib_r

If it didn't have to do with speed, it wasn't for me. I was never a fan of long distance running. ⁣
⁣
But this year I wanted to challenge myself. Something uncomfortable. Something new.⁣
⁣
10k. Under 50 minutes. Seemed reasonable. ⁣
⁣
Shout out to @coachmarkrunning nothing better than reaching out to someone who can put together a game plan to hit the goal you want to achieve. He came with a full program and the kind of accountability that doesn't let you negotiate with yourself. 8 weeks we trained. Every session tracked. Every kilometer calculated.⁣
⁣
Never would I have guessed that Jess and Raxx would want to join me on this journey. ⁣
⁣
The day I told Raxx that I was running a 10k, the last thing I'd ever expect him to say was that he'd want to do it with me. ⁣
⁣
One decision. Three people challenging themselves.⁣
⁣
8 weeks later, each one of us crossing that finish line, all with personal best times!⁣
⁣
Nothing better than crushing goals with those closest to you. ⁣

9 years with the same Brokerage, shut down without a warning. Commissions frozen. Rug pulled from under us. And yeah, it’s easy to complain. But complaining doesn’t solve problems.⁣

Drama is just noise, a distraction that keeps you further from results.⁣

Everyone talks about the grind but no one really talks about what it costs when you’re consumed in it.⁣

Let's be real about it for a second. ⁣

Being in the trenches, helping clients, the phone calls, the text messages, voice notes, showing homes, writing offers, changing brokerages, stacking wins, chasing goals. ⁣
⁣
In between all that... I’ve been learning how easy it is to get consumed by the doing and forget the being.⁣
⁣
When you ask for more, don't be surprised when the universe hands you the responsibility that comes with it first, dressed as your to do list.⁣
⁣
Real talk, when you care deeply about helping others, it’s easy to ignore when you need recharge yourself.⁣
⁣
That’s why I’m thankful for my wife, my people, and the spaces that remind me... ⁣
⁣
Joy is part of the journey, not a reward at the end.⁣
⁣
This is a reminder for myself but also for you:⁣
Grind with passion but don’t lose yourself in the process.⁣
