Every night Dudley and I reach the same corner. Short way home, or the long way. Lately he stops, looks down the long street, and then turns toward home.

After 20 years of watching Housewives, I finally found my tagline:

“If you don’t like the Shaun Show, change the channel.”

I thought I was writing an essay about boundaries. Turns out I was writing something closer to a reckoning.

I was in Mexico when a friend said to me:

“I’ve never met anyone that enjoys anything as much as you enjoy everything.” ( Thank you, @richardgagliano )

At first I smiled. Then I wondered… is that a good thing? Or is that me being too much again?

I’ve been thinking about it ever since.  And I think it might be the best compliment I’ve ever received.

I also think I finally understand why it might be true.

Wrote about it. It’s one of my favorites.

Open invitation for anyone based in Los Angeles interested in coming into community around spiritual exploration. @shaunsperling and I are creating a small, intentional spiritual study group with the intention of cultivating a community of like-minded, queer-friendly people who are interested in supporting one another in spiritual growth and transformation as the world moves through the unprecedented shifts we are seeing play out. We imagine this as a monthly gathering centered around shared readings, thoughtful discussion, meditation, and simple rituals. A space to explore spiritual ideas from different traditions together, ask real questions, and reflect on how these teachings show up in our actual lives.

Our first meeting will be April 2 and we will be discussing A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.
