Saw this crossbody bag that @lecrochetbydreanicole made and had to try my hand at it! I made it to match a pair of Jordan’s that I got a little while back, but I’ve been wearing it with everything. I’m glad to have this part of my hobby to keep to myself. I’m making more of an effort to create things for joy instead of just money.

My LS put me on to kimchi and I’ve been hooked ever since. I recently tried @blackgirlkimchi and it was so good! The flavors are fresh and 100% natural. I love the combination of the Korean and black cultures, it works really well.

I love any sort of experience where I can create something, so this body oil candle workshop from @thesunkissedskincare was right up my alley! I loved that she took the time to educate me while leading the workshop. The care and research that went into curating this experience is apparent all throughout the workshop. My candle is the perfect addition to my self-care routine.

I know I’m getting old because I’m listening to the young kids music like our parents used to listen to ours. I had no clue who most of these artists were. People come to me and ask if I can make something. Most times, it’s something I’ve never made before. It’s a process that’s teaching me confidence in my ability.

I’ve never made baby clothes before. I’ve never crocheted clothes at all. But my friend from college reached out to me and asked if I could make this for her niece’s baby, and I think it came out pretty great.

I know the girls live for Colleen. . .but I was not a fan of this read. There are some storylines that turn me off automatically. Toxic romance is at the top of that list. I just can’t get into the emotional abuse of it all. Maybe I’m thinking to deep into it and I need to relax 😅

I started a book club almost 3 years ago, and “Yesteryear” by Caro Claire Burke was our most recent read for July. This book was a wild ride! Even though it’s normally outside of what I normally read, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
