The entertainment world doesn't look the same as it did ten years ago. It doesn't even look the same as it did five years ago. YouTube creators are selling out arenas, launching production companies, and yes, in the Emmy race. The line between "traditional" and "digital" media? Gone. These people tore it down.

So when @deadline called us to produce and direct the motion cover featuring YouTube CEO neal_mohan alongside @cleoabram, @michellekhare, @subwaytakes, and @julianmsb, we said yes before they finished the sentence.

Neal and the creators sat down to talk about why YouTube's model actually works, how the platform and creator relationship is evolving, and what's next, including their bid in the Emmy race. We got to be in the room for all of it. A crew of incredible humans showed up at 7am and built something we're really proud of.

We have to take a second and just gush over @deadline, because we genuinely can't help it. These are the people who have been documenting the entertainment industry at the highest level for years. Getting to contribute to that, getting to be trusted with this story, means more than we can say. So thank you, Deadline. Really.
