@outlawseries resumed racing after a summer break with a new venue @eaglescanyonoffroad on the @eaglescanyon property, and wow what an event it was! 2 days of action packed racing in Pro N/A and Pro Outlaw that brought back the excitement and track style like TexPlex once hosted! @ack_butter and @billyc195 pulled off an amazing weekend had by all in attendance. They truly are dedicated to the sport of UTV Racing! My weekend had some great battles from race 1 to race 4. I finished with a 🥈 in Pro N/A day one and 5th in Pro Outlaw (N/A car racing against turbos) Day 2 a little mishap in the main caused me to finish 6th in Pro N/A, and I was able to pull off another 5th in Pro Outlaw. We have some things in the works to give us a chance to be a front runner in the Pro Outlaw races, and we know we can run up front in Pro N/A. I can’t wait until the next one as this new location transforms into one of the top Utv short course venues in the country. Thanks to all of my team, supporters, and sponsors! Round 2 of @midamerica_outdoors Utv short course series brought another epic weekend of races that filled us with multiple struggles and challenges. Fortunately the rain held off and allowed us some practice time to get my Talon dialed. Friday I ran 9 laps of practice and got some good data so we could make the necessary changes to aim for the front. Heat 1 on Saturday had me battling my way towards the front only to lose an engine on the last lap. This caused me to quickly jump to my second Talon and scramble to tweak its setup between motos. The engine failure secured me a second row start for the main. I fired off the line in the main only to be hit in a tangle up at the start. This caused me to fight from the back. I had some great battles and ran some fast lap times which helped me make up ground on the front runners, but I ran out of time. By the time the checkered flag flew I worked my way up to 5th and was able to salvage some great points. Not exactly where I wanted to finish, but I’ll take it! The 2021 Texas Outlaw Series 12hr Endurance Race was one for the books! This year I teamed up with fellow Honda Talon drivers Cross Kirchmeier and Eddie Ensign to see if we could put the Pro N/A Talon on the podium. We ran 32 laps covering 500 miles and were able to secure a 3rd Place finish! We battled all the way to the very end. After the first 3 hours of the race a tree jumped out in front of Eddie which cost us 10 minutes, but we came together as a team and pushed to get that time back. Our Hess Motorsports Talon was dialed in, of course it didn’t hurt having George White of Double E Racing as part of our pit team which also included Glenn Hess, Brian Reiter, Edwin Ensign, and Curtis Kirchmeier. We had a lot of great companies that helped make this possible, and we couldn’t have done it without the use of their excellent products.
