Going through some old boxes and found some of the music and memorabilia that shaped a big part of my life. It is funny how quickly music can bring you back to a specific time and place.

My son was stoked and started asking all kinds of questions, so I gave them to him. Hopefully it sparks something in him and keeps that connection to music alive. It definitely runs in his blood. 😂😂😂

Music is in a strange but interesting place right now with the acceleration of AI. After spending a large part of my life making it my career I’m sure many musicians who spent countless hours refining their craft are puzzled right now 🤦🏽‍♂️ The barrier to entry is almost zero now.

Flight of Aloha brought the Christmas cheer but Kona brought the spirit.

Some of the loudest Cheehuus in the land echoed through town at the 2025 Kona Christmas Parade and we felt every bit of that aloha.

Mahalo to @paradesinkona for having us and to @surferkai for the DJ beats that kept everyone dancing for miles. Big thanks to @wildblooms_hawaii and @kamaaina_landscaping_llc for helping bring our float to life and to CiCi Nailea and Shiro from the FOA team for spreading the love with free tickets and candy for the community. Also to our Driver Eva and our Mrs clause @__.kristin Kristin and the kidos

Years ago, while building the first Flight of Aloha, I met Lisa Adams and Dave Mosop from the FlyOver team. We talked story about immersive film and storytelling, and even though we didn’t end up working together, I learned a lot and still admire everything they’ve built with @experienceflyover and the @pursuitcollection team.

So this trip walking through Disney’s parks, sweating through the lines, then flying in Vegas reminded me what inspired our own experience in Kona.

At @flightofaloha, we took those lessons in guest service and storytelling and built something local shorter waits, cooler air, warm aloha, and stories filmed across Hawai‘i in 8K.

Disney world 2025! We trekked across the globe with most of the Shaws to Florida to celebrate my mother in laws birthday!
It was a wild trip with our little ones ( 😜😪)but we survived and made lots of memories.
