As the leader of this team this past season, I am proud of how our student-athletes balanced the demands of academics and athletics while continuing to represent the program with high character.

This past summer, I had the opportunity to assemble a team under uncertain circumstances and was humbled by the trust these young women placed in my vision—despite me being named Interim Head Coach just a month before the season began.

Grounding ourselves in academic excellence while fostering positive mentorship and meaningful community involvement has been the cornerstone of what we built together.

I also want to thank all of the administrators, mentors, pastors, guest speakers, and my assistant coaches who all poured into this program and helped guide these young women along the way. Your time, wisdom, and support truly made a difference.

Truly a blessing. 🙏🏾 taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @shawuwbb

“Take Me to the Water…. “ What an Amazing God we serve! This is truly a blessing! Congratulations to D’Ayzha Atkinson a senior on our Lady Bear Womens Basketball Team. My mission all pre-season and beyond was to provide mentors and individuals who can help our players be better people and be prepared for the life challenges they will face. We had two Pastors and several mentors come in and help with this. I want to thank each of you. Pastor Todd Curry thank you! Coach Collins thank you for extending your character coach to our team. I would not have missed this for anything!🙏🏾 #wonthedoit🙌🏾 #mentorship #byfaithandgrace #shawuniversity #healthandwellnesscoaching taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @shawuwbb
