Thank you Lord is what I say so many times a day, and most of that is because of this family. None of which wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for @cllmacdonald and the love she brings to everything, but especially our girls. I see her thoughtfulness and kindness in them every single day. by @shay.macdonald

Stinky Marie (Royal) won’t let me put her down lately. She’s had a pretty ruff year after losing her two best friends in quick succession. The best thing about having a family of dogs is the amazing amount of love it brings to the home. The unfortunate hardest thing is what we’ve been going through this past year. Seems like every other week we’re praying for more time. More time to heal from the last one before it could possibly happen again, but just more time in general to have her as she was. More time before we start to see the same signs or downturns that we saw in Char Siu and Parson. More time to have the last part of how our little family started. by @shay.macdonald

A while back we received some sourdough starter from a member of our Church. We named our starter Irene. Irene is a tough girl. Thought I lost her for a minute. But after a steady daily week of feeding, back to her refrigerated - weekly feedings, a slightly new day before double feed, Irene is stronger than ever. Pepper loves the Cinnamon Chocolate chip bread and we have Avocado Toast with poached eggs pretty much every weekend now. It’s so ridiculously good. by @shay.macdonald

Our backyard may be small. It may be a little crowded compared to some. It may be mostly overgrown and too hot for some of the year. But when it gets to right spot, that beautiful beginning of the right spot, it’s like heaven. And God shows all of its wonders in amazing detail. The peaceful beauty is only matched by the abundance of love inside the home it’s attached to. by @shay.macdonald
