My Bachelorette was definitely one of the best weekends of my life. To my girls,my girlssssss I love yal so much for making me feel so special and loved on this weekend. It felt better than my birthday lbs. Quick backstory🥹 Me and Roshi met in kindergarten back in 1997. This love was not only my longest love but my most in depth, this woman truly knows me inside and out and we truly sisters, my brothers and parents see that way too. Then Shykayla in about 6th grade, I knew yep, she’s gotta be my friend forever, hard to keep in touch but she was always someone I laughed with and felt so warm around. 2006 me and Kaleese connected in IB program, hanging out, her staying over at my house, and me visiting her at her & her granddad place on Cornell. And Tamiyah was girlfriend in high school too but the true connection started when she came back home from college, and she couldn’t keep me away from her house lol these two ladies always made me laugh, have the most intense but loving convos with and they endlessly poured into me when I wasn’t able to. And then came Benedict College 2010, now me and Jasmine met as college freshman roommates, little did I know I was actually suppose to be roomed with Joy lol but my first year away from home ever, I leaned on these ladies for love, college shenanigans lol, and constantly late night talks. Joy created a space for me to always be Shay lol even through tearing up her carpet to sleepovers in and out of our cities. Myrtle Beach is when I knew yes I need to be around this light all the time, truly brung me endless Joy. And to my Jasmine all of late night talks, laughing, tea time 🫖 with you me and your mommy. To my Bridesmaids, I love each and every one of you. I cherish you. I appreciate you. Thank you for always seeing the beauty in me. Thank you for kissing and comforting me when tears kept rolling. God couldn’t have blessed me with a better man than Julian. To be cared for, gentle with me, loved for, and prayed over. These two ladies have always been the light of my dialysis career journey. From Lawanda, guiding me on my first cannulation and from Lashon precepting me on everything related to hemodialysis and the battles we could carry home after dealing with work.
