Al Barsha! You will find all kinds of people here, because this is where most of them landed first.
One bag, one room, and Barsha becomes the first place you call home in this city. That is why every ethnicity here has a restaurant, and none of them are built for tourists. The back of Mall of the Emirates, where Lulu is busier than anything happening out front
and a cafeteria where everyone has been having Karak for eight years.

My little brother starts uni next week, which I’m handling very normally.

He thinks he’s ready. He’s not.
Luckily @noon_uae came to his rescue with a back to school emergency kit.

If you or your younger sibling is heading back soon… be more prepared than him. And if you’re not, code *SHYBTS* gets you cash back on your noon orders!

Al Ain the birthplace of culture.

This is the city that runs the Oasis, a place that has forts standing still for centuries and mountains that greet people from every emirates and watch every chapter of this land unfold. You don’t just visit Al Ain you return to it, even if you have never been before.

This was a truly special video to make, so if you haven’t been to Al Ain, take this as a sign because this is just the tip of the iceberg

It’s like how Ash Ketchum once said “I wanna be the very best, that there ever was”

Although we shot this in 4 hours, we planned this for two months, and wrote it months ago, then when the day arrived we just didn’t have the time

There is a vision I am building towards this year - which is ONLY doing things I wanna do and love doing. It is also to value myself to a standard I think I deserve! That is only making things I am proud of!

I am grateful for everyone who helped me make this! @imansor1 @visuals.by.h @mustafabuttt @mohammadkazmii

Onto the next.

Karama, not just a place, an emotion because for many expat families this is where their story began.

Bargaining through Karama Center, Laffah, once the old Ravi, Archies Book store, every outing ending at Baskin Robbins or Govinda’s, no matter how full you were. The home to Ibrahimi’s restaurant

Every Eid, every Diwali, the whole city shows up.

It was never the restaurants, it’s the memories people made here. Live in Dubai long enough and I bet you have a Karama story too.

Couple months back, I felt stuck, like things had taken a massive pause, so me being me I tried to throw myself further into work. It didn’t work out. So when the opportunity came on a random Tuesday and @imansor1 called me asking me if I can help make a video for his collab with Samsung, I decided you know what? I am gonna give it my all.

It was at that moment I decided I am gonna let everyone know what my value is, I am gonna become a version of me that I want to be. This was a decision I made 3 months ago and looking back I feel like I progressed quite a bit. So if you feel stuck too I suggest you ask yourself who do you wanna be, and then just work towards being that every single day!

The next station is.. Al Rigga!

This was a special video for me because of how much my childhood is connected to this place and how my teenage years were formed here. This is where I used to come to get a lift to go for my first ever job. I’m not the only one because for many of this is where we had beyblade competitions, we had busses going to Sharjah from Union, we had ladies salons, Aroos Damascus breakfasts, Wejdan’s shawarmas and the iconic Al Ghurair centre!

Muweilah. The corner of Sharjah where the whole city passes through at some point.

You come here to eat. You come here to study and one way or another, you come here to sit in traffic. And somewhere in the middle of it all, Sharjah quietly got fancy, with Al Zahia and Al Jada turning this whole side of the city into something polished while nobody was looking.

Muweilah never asked for the spotlight. It just kept feeding people, teaching people, and moving people, and the rest of Sharjah grew up around it.

Abu Shagara is the closest thing we have to Hogwarts.

A whole world packed into a few streets. The park where families, kids, and the occasional fight all lived side by side. Hot Burger still standing after all these years. The cycle shop. The Pathan parkings. The gaming café. The used car showrooms. The the furniture shops where all of Sharjah came to make a house a home, every last one of them still here.

You don’t grow out of a place like this. You just carry it.

Muhaisnah is one of those places where you look back and think of sharing a cup of chai talking about the heartbreaks in parking lots, along with the job promotions. The kids who became adults, and the adults who became neighbours.

So everytime you look at Lulu Village, Bait Al Shay, the Police Colony, the schools (shoutout to Oxford) and the culture that lived on these streets, know that to many, this matters because it holds us all together!
