Florence, Italy is such a beautiful place. It is a busy town mixed with art, bike rides and high fashion. Florence is the leather capital of Italy so I had to get a bag. My husband knows how to bargain, so we got a good price 😁 After visiting, I think it’ll be cool to explore the city via bike. This was only an hour and twenty minute train ride from Rome. The most exciting part was the Tuscany wine tour that we booked that left from Florence. I’ll share that experience next. So dreamy 😌

Curious about the high speed train system in Italy? Save this post. We stayed in Rome and used the high speed train to visit the Amalfi Coast, Florence and Venice. #trenitalia was an easy system to navigate. For our first high speed train we arrived too early. We learned to show up later the remaining trips. On the departure board, you may see your train, but it will not tell you which platform you’re departing from until 15-20 minutes before your departure time-this doesn’t change. Once you have the platform number, head straight to the train because it leaves on time.

Sometimes the trains can be delayed, so you wait. Sometimes they can be cancelled (not as common). This happened to us when we were leaving the Amalfi Coast (from Salerno) and we went to the customer service desk where they were able to book us on the next train.

Come with us to the @vaticanmuseums in Rome! One of the must see sites on our list. I’m always fascinated by how much history is preserved over time . Also amazed at the level of detail, time and effort it took to construct the sculptures and to create the art. But have your walking shoes laced up TIGHT. Once you’re in, you’re in it for the long haul. But it’s worth it.

We booked with @insideout_italy through @getyourguide to skip the line. Definitely recommend doing this because that line can get pretty long.

When you’re in Italy you make pizza and gelato! The @cooking_italy__ class was SO much fun. The hosts were so knowledgeable, hospitable and funny. Definitely recommend booking a class while you’re in Rome. We booked this class and all of our experiences through @getyourguide.

To say we miss the food in Italy is a severe understatement! Fresh, top quality ingredients is the standard. The aromas, every bite, every sip felt like a symphony. We truly lived La Dolce Vida through every bite. I will be incorporating authentic Italian cuisine at home. The carbonara had me in a choke hold. We also had fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit from the local fruit stand-the taste and quality is what we deserve. I’m still not over it-I will never get over it. TAKE ME BACK!!!

Just a post of a day of food in Rome 🍴If you know us, you know we are foodies. Rome did not disappoint. Every dish was fresh and served pipping hot. Morning cappuccinos and the maritozzi had us in a choke hold. 10 out of 10 recommend. It’s hard to go back to low quality food 😩

Late night rant about boho braids. I’m not the type to go get my hair done on a regular basis. I used to do my own braids. For that reason, I try to be as cost efficient as possible and do what I can to keep my braids from looking like a birds nest. I need more tips 😁

#trevifountain and the #spanishsteps were on our list and I’m so glad that we got to see them. Both are free to enjoy. As I mentioned in the video, we did pay 2 Euros (cash only) to get an up close look because…why not? After all that walking and site seeing it was time for us to sit down at someone’s table for wine and snacks.

On the way walking to the Trevi Fountain, we ran into a guy we met at the airport that was from Saudi Arabia. I was just chatting away and my husband was stepping back peeping the scene, like if he pops up again, something is up🤔🧐😁 He was so nice!
