There are moments in life where you realize the dream was never really yours to begin with. God placed it in your heart long before you could understand why.

Tonight I walk into the opening ceremony of the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival with deep gratitude. Not just for the invitation, but for the purpose behind it. I truly believe film has the power to heal, awaken, and shift consciousness when it’s created from truth.

I came here to represent vision, storytelling, art, humanity, and the people brave enough to create from the soul.

Every step of this journey has required faith. The quiet kind. The kind you hold onto when nobody understands the calling on your life yet.

So before the glam, before the cameras, before the noise… I give thanks to God. For guiding me here. For opening doors no human could open. And for reminding me that when purpose leads, everything arrives in divine timing.

A written passage from my poetry book. Should I release it?

There is something about standing in the middle of all that gold and realizing you were never searching for it. You were it. You have always been it. And maybe you forgot for a while. Maybe the world got loud and you got quiet and somewhere in between you started believing that shrinking was the same thing as surviving. But it wasn’t. It was never that. It was just fear dressed up in good manners. It was just you, convincing yourself that taking up less space would somehow make the journey easier. But here’s what nobody tells you about the desert. It doesn’t reward smallness. It swallows it. The desert only recognizes what refuses to disappear. And you, standing there with the sun pressed against your skin like a blessing you didn’t ask for but always deserved, you are not disappearing. Not anymore. Not ever again. You have spent too many seasons pouring yourself into places that couldn’t hold you. Too many years softening your voice so other people could feel comfortable in rooms you were meant to command. And now something in you has shifted. Not loudly. Not with an announcement or a performance. Just a quiet, bone-deep knowing that this chapter doesn’t belong to the version of you who asked for permission. This one belongs to the woman who stopped waiting. The one who looked at herself, really looked, and didn’t flinch. The one who chose her own reflection over every mirror the world tried to hand her. And if they ask you what changed, you don’t owe them an answer. Because the truth is, nothing changed. You just finally stopped hiding what was always there.

An excerpt from my upcoming poetry book~

Perhaps this is why I have always been drawn to horses.

In a world obsessed with control, they teach you trust.
In a world that rewards noise, they teach you to listen.
In a world that has forgotten how to be still, they remind you what it means to be present.

A horse is not conquered by strength, but met through feeling. You cannot truly lead one without first learning to lead yourself. You cannot demand its trust. You must become worthy of it.

And perhaps that is what I love most about riding. It is a conversation between two living souls, neither needing words, both communicating through the smallest shifts in breath, energy and intention.

There is something ancient about it. Something that remembers a time before the world became so hurried, so disconnected, so determined to measure everything except what matters.

A horse does not care about your status, your following, your possessions or the version of yourself you present to the world.

It feels you.

And in that presence, all the performance falls away.

You are no longer who the world says you should be. You are simply who you are.

Perhaps we need more of that now. More connection without transaction. More strength without domination. More freedom without the need to possess. More relationships in which trust is earned, sensitivity is power, and silence says everything.

Because the most extraordinary kind of power has never been about making another being submit to you.

It is about creating a connection so profound that you choose to move together.

And maybe that is the real art of riding.

Not learning how to control a horse, but learning how to become so present, so attuned, so deeply connected that, for a moment, two separate beings move as one.

In a world that keeps teaching us to conquer, I want to keep learning how to connect.

Perhaps that is freedom.

Perhaps that is love.

Perhaps that is what we have been trying to remember all along.

Paris in between fittings, healings, and watching my vision board become my camera roll.

One of my favorite places is to be in the sky. I get so much of my inspiration in the clouds. Also this vintage Kodak jacket is a dream.

I always travel with my @boncharge_ red light mask with me, my @cymbiotikame @cymbiotika supplements, and my @subtleenergies holistic skincare. Health, & wellness is a non-negotiable.

Paris- I work with clients all around the globe. My daily waking ritual is a non-negotiable. You have to take care of yourself first. Aligning with myself first before serving. You cannot give if you are not clear.

I just checked into the bush in Kenya, @tandalaestate and this week is about the kind of transformation that happens when people are willing to step away from their normal lives and really do the work.

People have flown in from different places to be here to heal, to grow, to shift, to see themselves differently. And my whole team is here too, because LightForce @thelightforcecenter has the most incredible people behind the scenes making all of this possible.

To me, true leadership is bringing the right people together and creating a space where everyone can contribute something meaningful.

We’re working, planning, creating, laughing, challenging each other, making art, sharing ideas and doing all the little things that make this experience what it is.

Because I’ve come to understand that transformation isn’t always some huge breakthrough. But it also is especially when you breakdown. Because after every breakdown there’s a breakthrough. Sometimes it’s being surrounded by the right energy and the right people. Creating something together. Having a laugh. Being challenged. Feeling inspired. Getting out of your head and back into life and back into you heart.

That’s what I love about creating these spaces. The transformation happens in all of it.

And being home in Kenya makes it even more powerful!

Peace in my heart.
Peace in my spirit.
Peace in the way I carry myself through spaces I once prayed about in silence.

Being in attendance at the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival was a reminder that purpose will always travel further than ego ever could. Grace will take you places force never can.

Arriving carrying my culture, my ancestors, my children, my prayers, my art, and every version of myself that survived enough to stand in this moment.

There’s something powerful about remaining soft in an industry that teaches people to become hard.
Something powerful about choosing depth in a world obsessed with image.
Something powerful about knowing exactly who you are before the cameras ever turn toward you.

Peace is the real luxury.
Presence is the real success.
And love is still the highest frequency I know.

Cannes reminded me that the most powerful thing in the world will always be human connection.
Not status. Not noise. Not performance.
Just people gathering through art, truth, vision, and intention.

I came here with a full heart and left even fuller. So many beautiful conversations. So many aligned souls. So many reminders that purpose speaks louder than ego ever will.

There’s something sacred about being in spaces where creativity becomes service to humanity. Where film, music, fashion, and storytelling can actually move people, heal people, awaken people.

Thank you to every soul I crossed paths with here. Thank you for the conversations, the kindness, the inspiration, the invitations, the laughter, the late nights, the wisdom, and the love. I never take these moments for granted. Life moves fast and somehow in the middle of it all, certain people remind you why you keep believing in magic.

And if there’s one thing this trio reaffirmed for me, it’s this: follow the dream. Even when it makes no sense to anyone else. Even when the road feels impossible. The life meant for you only reveals itself once you’re brave enough to walk toward it.

We spend so much of our lives waiting. Waiting for the right moment, the right sign, the right version of ourselves to show up before we finally let ourselves live. But the truth is there is no perfect moment. There is only this one. Right here. The breath you just took. The light that just shifted. The way something beautiful can stop you completely if you let it.
I think about that a lot lately. How much of life passes while we’re planning for it. How many rooms we walk through without really seeing them. How many people we love without telling them. How many times we silence the thing inside of us that wants to create, to speak, to move, to feel, because we’re afraid it’s too much or not enough or not the right time.
It’s always the right time.
The world is heavy right now. There is war and grief and so much noise that it can feel impossible to hold beauty and pain in the same hand. But that is exactly what we are asked to do. To love fiercely in the middle of uncertainty. To create in the face of destruction. To adorn ourselves and show up fully not because we are ignoring the darkness, but because we refuse to let it win.
Art has always been the answer. Not as escape but as devotion. Every painter who ever touched a canvas during wartime knew this. Every poet who wrote by candlelight while the world burned knew this. Beauty is not frivolous. It is the most radical form of faith there is.
So I am choosing to be here. Fully. In the art, in the fashion, in the love, in the music, in the stillness, in the movement. Not waiting for a better time. Not shrinking for anyone’s comfort. Not apologizing for the fullness of who I am.
This moment is all we have. Use it for love. Use it for something beautiful. Use it before it becomes a memory.
