Two years of travelling AS A MUM - feels like quite the accomplishment.

Alhumdulillah.

Funnily though I had a lot of doubts whether I could do this. Me. Someone who has solo travelled to places like Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Doubting myself about travelling with my own offspring.

But Alhumdulillah here we are 2 years later having visited plenty of countries, old and new, coming to terms with the fact that travelling is no longer what it used to be - and I'm all for it.

I'm so glad my kids have slowed me down enough to enjoy a different pace. Seeing places through their eyes. People wonder what's the point of going anywhere with them, it's literally just parenting in another country - but that's what's reshaping me as a person. Having the patience to deal with poop blowouts and tiredness on the go, time managing their meals with ours, keeping them entertained, balancing all the different emotions.

I'm still learning new things about this travelling mum life but even though it's even more hard work now with 2 babies, I'm ready. Bring it on.

Let's play a game, shall we? ⬇️

Pause the screen when you feel it's right and find out where you're going in 2024. Let me know what you land on!

These are just some of the travels I was able to pull out from my hard drives (lol). I started exploring from my early 20s and often revisited destinations with different company, be it family, friends, colleagues, husband, kids, solo, rabbit (yes I've travelled with my bunny).

But each time I travel to anywhere, old and new, it still gives me the buzz I'm addicted to. The buzz of exploring, seeing how the locals live, the different cultures and food, imagining what the average person must be doing in their life right now as I watch them go on about their day.

Share this with your favourite travellers and see if you're destined to visit the same destination ❤️

Where are you going? by @shazida

Where shall we do this trend next? Tell us some destinations for 2023!

Unfortunately we couldn't do this in EVERY country last year (Holland, Bangladesh and Bahrain are missing) but that will be 2023 challenge now. It was fun trying to capture it and watching people look at us like "what are you doing?" I'm sorry, I'm filming myself pushing my son in his buggy, is that a problem? 🤣

Also showcasing the different stages of motherhood in baby's first year. Recovering and then feeling comfortable in a body that housed your miracle is so important. Don't put yourself down if you see people "snap back" - no one cares. Be happy and healthy and have fun with your baby 👶

This is your sign to take motion photos and save all the chaos in video form to humble yourself once in a while.

P.s. the actual tantrums are off camera 🙃 by @shazida

Believe me when I tell you, these cutesy little photos do not come easy.

Life of a boy mum who just wants to live out her dream of seeing the world with her boys and taking some (1000s) of photos. Is that too much to ask?
