Drop a 🥺 if you felt seen… I think the saddest part of growing up is realizing how many versions of yourself you had to become just to feel safe in a world that didn’t always know how to hold you gently.

The anger that came from being hurt one too many times.
The pride that wouldn’t let you admit you were struggling.
The perfectionism that made you believe you had to get everything right to be worthy.
The people-pleasing that taught you to abandon yourself just to keep everyone else happy.
The escapism that gave you somewhere to go when reality became too much.

And somewhere beneath all those walls was a girl who was tired.

Tired of being strong.
Tired of explaining herself.
Tired of understanding everyone else’s pain while silently hoping someone would notice her own.

She didn’t need to be fixed.
She didn’t need another lecture about being better.
She didn’t need to be told to toughen up.

She needed someone to sit beside her and say, “I know you’ve been trying so hard. You don’t have to hold everything together right now. I’ve got you.”

Maybe healing begins when you stop hating the versions of yourself that were only trying to protect you.

Because the girl who spent her whole life trying to be strong deserves to know what it feels like to be held, too. 🤍

Sometimes I wish we could meet our future selves for just five minutes.

Imagine being able to sit beside the woman you’re becoming and ask her, “Did we make it? Did we figure it out? Did all those little steps actually lead somewhere?”

And imagine her smiling at you because she knows something you don’t.

She knows about the morning you’ll wake up and realize you’re no longer living the life you once begged to escape.

She knows about the things you’ll build with your own two hands, the money you’ll make, the places you’ll see, and the quiet confidence that will come from knowing you can trust yourself.

She knows about the people you’ll meet who will love you without asking you to become someone else first.

And she knows that one day, you’ll look back at the woman you are right now with so much tenderness.

Not because you had everything figured out. Not because you always made the right choices. But because you kept going, even when you couldn’t see where you were going.

So, if you’re in a season where your life doesn’t look the way you imagined it would, please don’t mistake the middle of your story for the end of it, babe.

Your permission slips, just in case. 🤍

Babe, I hope you know that your life is yours.

Not your family’s expectations of you. Not the version of you that made everyone else comfortable. Not the life you chose because you were afraid of what would happen if you chose differently.

Yours.

You are allowed to want a different life. To change your mind at 28, 35, or 50. To move somewhere new, build something of your own, fall in love again, make more money, wear the dress, take the risk, and become a woman nobody in your life has ever seen before.

You are allowed to be grateful for what you have and still desire more.

You are allowed to love people without living your life according to their fears.

And you are allowed to become someone your younger self could never have imagined… not because the woman you were wasn’t enough, but because you’ve always had more life waiting to be lived.

Please don’t spend your whole life being a good daughter, a good partner, a good friend, a good woman in everyone’s eyes, only to realize you’ve never given yourself the chance to discover who you are when you’re finally free.

I want you to have a life that feels like YOURS, queen. One you don’t need to escape from. One you don’t have to keep shrinking yourself to maintain. One you’re genuinely excited to wake up to.

There comes a moment when you realize you can’t keep living a story you’ve already outgrown. Not because your old life was all bad, but because the woman you’re becoming can no longer fit inside the life you once knew.

And that moment? It doesn’t always come with a grand announcement. Sometimes, it’s just you, sitting quietly with everything you’ve been through, finally ready to stop carrying the past into every new beginning.
