Introducing our second poet joining us for our poetry evening 🍂📖

Ameena-Camilla Edwards, a Birmingham based actress and poet. Through spoken word, she explores love, identity, healing, womanhood and the experiences that shape us.

She hopes people connect with her poetry through its honesty and soul, drawing on her love of storytelling. For Ameena, poetry is about turning emotions into words, creating connection, and hopefully making someone feel seen ♥️

Introducing our first poet joining us for our poetry evening! 📖 🍂

@uditidotmp3 is a radio producer by day and a spoken word poet by night. She’s originally from the city of lakes in the middle of India, and now lives in the city of canals in the middle of England. She writes about the joys and frustrations of being an immigrant, love in the digital age, nostalgia for a home that probably never existed, and the tiny moments that make being alive feel worthwhile.

She’s fresh off a headline set at Poets Palace in Birmingham and was also a featured open micer at Piece of Work Poetry’s National Poetry day event ♥️

As the evenings draw in and autumn settles around us, come gather for a intimate evening of poetry, food, and shared words 📖

She Creates: Poetry Night is an evening of readings celebrating the voices and creativity of female and non-binary poets. A cosy space to listen, reflect, connect, and be moved by the words in the room! ❤️

Tickets are priced as pay as you feel for this event and food will be included. All money raised goes back into supporting our community and female/ nonbinary creatives 🥰

Last Saturday, we took over Alfred Works! 🎨🔊

A full day of creativity, music and good energy, with market traders, an art workshop, a DJ workshop and DJs on rotation all day 🎶

Big love to everyone who came down, got involved, made a beautiful beaded flowerpot, learnt how to DJ vinyl, played some tunes and helped make the day what it was ❤️

She believes colour should lift your spirits, empower you and bring joy every time you wear it – that’s the inspiration behind everything she creates!

Quality and sustainability are at the heart of SzubiCrafts. Every piece is designed, hand-knitted or hand-crocheted by herself from start to finish. She carefully sources natural fibres from local suppliers, including cotton, merino, mohair, silk and beautifully soft brushed alpaca, creating timeless pieces made to be loved for years.
