I see a lot of new followers here, so I figured I should introduce myself!

First, I’d like to give an honor to God who is the head of MY life 😂😌
Nah but seriously, I’m Jheri. A child, believer, follower of Christ. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Him. I won’t act like I don’t get off track (bc the people be peopling), but I walk & talk w Him daily. He is heavily knitted into my business practices.

I am a girls girl ok? Specifically my black girls🤎 I am the one passing you in the street giving compliments, holding doors, random smiles lol

I got into nails after being fired from EVERY job and I do mean every job. Y’all, can you imagine getting mailed upwards of 10 W2’s at the end of the year? Yea. The longest position I held was at at design firm after college for 7 months 😩 And here I am coming up on 7 years in business for myself 🙌🏾 Can’t tell me God don’t know what He be doing up there !!!!!

Picture it; NW- Sicily, 2015. I was at my desk scrolling IG, and saw a post that said “Black girls open your own nail salon”. I created and registered my name & LLC right there at my desk lol Googled nail schools near me and found @schoolofcreativenails in Townson. Whyyyyy they literally fired my ass a week later 😂 I enrolled, and started classes maybe within the month, attended w no job & no financial aid! I know she was SICK of my late payments, but I was and still is oh so grateful for this woman. Graduated in 2016, got licensed and never looked back. I was home based for 5 years, and recently moved in to our new home over in NE DC at @black.and.forth earlier this year!!! I LOVE IT HERE 🥰

🩷 A space for US 🩷 Nothing but good energy is allowed to come through the door. No code switching. Show up as YOU (Minus the bonnet, and yes we can tussle about it 👀) Endless pouring in to. Connections made.So much knowledge shared. Our space, is thee space for excellent services, and good vibes. Oh! And when y’all sing whatever is playing 🥹 it really makes me feel like I got EVERYTHING right 😭🩷

When I bought the block, I was so excited to have enough space to bring some Black women along with me.

I retrofitted shipping containers to be able to serve as a skincare studio, hair salons and a nail salon.

We’ve been blessed by some amazing women to grace these spaces.
—

Now we still have She Nail’d it with @zsazsaglam and we also have @egyptamiexperience + @beautimarc + @skinelitedmv
