Learning this craft that has been preserved for over 2 centuries, passed down by women for women, was very special!
This art form, using hair and wire to create intricate designs, was initially used as intimate keepsakes for a loved one. A marker of mourning or a marker of a new beginning, such as crafting the hair of two families coming together in marriage. (Hair nerd over here)
