OCTOBER READS

I feel like I’m a half assed bookstagram account at this point because that’s the only thing I post. 😂 I bought way more books this month than I read but ya know, it happens 😂
I did get to go to my first ever author meet and signing and got my copy of Assistant to the Villian signed. Absolutely nerve racking and anxiety packed but now my most cherished book!

I had a SUPER slow reading month. It took me over half the month to get thru Lore by Alexandra Bracken. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t having me pressed to read it either. I feel like I should have just gotten a regular copy and not the one I have because if it wasn’t a SE I wouldn’t be keeping it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Next I read Hollow by Karina Halle based off of @morallygreykay posting about it nonstop and I figured it fit spooky season vibes. It was really good and my copy of Legend actually just got delivered today! I finished this one rather quickly like in 3 days. Maybe.

The last book I completely finished was The Luminaries by Susan Dennard. I really enjoyed this book! And the edition I have is absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait for the next one to arrive.

Lastly, I’ve started The Study of Drowning by Ava Reid. I’m not finished with this one yet but so far so good! It’s been a cozy read and I’ve been reading it a little slower as life is just really happening to me lately. by @sheabaebay

SEPTEMBER READS
My goal this month was to read as many of my unread books as possible because I thought I had a TON of unread books compared to read books. While I did read 10 books (I DNF the one and won’t) my goal made me realize I’ve actually read 75-80% of the books I own.
The end of Alice is the book I DNF and won’t read. It was a cover purchase and I hate it. I read one chapter and looked up what it was about and it’s not for me AT all. Whoopsie. The rest of the books I read were pretty good. The book of poems I got at a show I went to, one of the artists wrote it and was selling it with their merch.

My favorite read of the month is probably Assistant to the Villian. Fourth wing is very high up there as well! I can’t believe I waited so long to read fourth wing. Maybe because Assistant to the villain was my last read of the month or just after finishing 2 long series these last 2 months an easy rom com like read was just so light hearted and fun. Definitely had me chuckling and smiling throughout the whole book. And the ending left off like there’s going to be a 2nd and I really really hope there is😍😍😍

Fourth wing , WHEW. I’m obsessed. I already have the next book preordered and I CANNOT WAIT. by @sheabaebay

I want to start sharing what I read every month so here we go. I was in a bit of a reading slump until about halfway thru august so I have a short stack. I did my first tandem read(reading 2 books together) it was amazing and I finished a series I’ve been working on for a long time. Probably read the thickest book of my life coming in at 980 pages.
