The Fictional Client: a series where we imagine some of our most beloved characters as real life clients. Their personalities, quirks, wardrobes, and stories become the starting point for a home that feels entirely their own.

No themed rooms, just a little nostalgia translated through interiors.

First up…can you guess the client? 🍯

Gather beautifully in a place where everyday moments become lasting memories // in this East Hampton dining room, we designed an elevated space that the entire family can gather in. A space that is sprinkled with warm woods, statement lighting, blue hues and abstract artwork. To us, this dining room feels both tranquil and fun 🫶🏼

Blue or ivory, which would you choose? 🤔

This living room proves you don't have to pick just one. Soaring ceilings, woven string pendants, and a moody abstract set the tone. While dusty blue mohair chairs and soft ivory sofas play off each other perfectly. Peonies and hydrangeas bring it all to life.

Grand, but never stiff. That's the goal.

Drop a 🩵 for blue or 🤍 for ivory below and swipe to see the room open into the dining space →

We kept the palette quiet; crisp white with warm grey accents. This primary bath looks simple and effortless, but every element was thoughtfully considered 💭

A custom vanity with integrated pulls is paired with mitered counterrops. Brushed nickel fixtures provide a clean, low-maintenance finish. The custom built-in mirrors are framed by tarnished silver sconces and the vanity backsplash wraps around the room like a low-slung ribbon of stone. Dual shower heads were planned for mornings that are meant to be shared. Lastly, a deep soaking tub anchored under a picture window is the perfect place to soak after a long day at the beach 🫧

Sometimes the simplest things in life bring us the most joy 🫶🏼

Take a look inside our latest project 🍾

This East Hampton home is a study in quiet luxury. Navy grass cloth, dusty blue mohair, warm walnut, and blooms that were just picked from the garden. Our clients dreamed of a harmonious home where their family could come together and gather on the east end year round. Full project details in the link in bio ✨

NEW SITE 🌊✨ for @sheasmithdesign! Elegant! Relaxed! Some would say sexy!

Erin’s old website is the reason she decided to rebrand with me in the first place. It lacked the character & warmth that you see in her design style.

The new site is an artful experience, where refined typography interacts with large, splashy photos. Texture, patterns, little illustrations, and soft animation add enough character without overshadowing her stunning work.

Now if you will— go check out sheasmithdesign.com on desktop & mobile!! by @sheasmithdesign

Office refresh, but make it personal. 📚
This custom bookcase is more than just storage—it showcases memorabilia and family heirlooms, turning everyday objects into meaningful design moments.
The plaid wallpaper adds a sense of history and structure—a timeless pattern reimagined in soft, coastal-inspired hues. Paired with the rich blue cabinetry and warm wood tones, the palette feels calm, classic, and just a little nautical.
Design that reflects your life makes working from home feel less like a task—and more like a place you actually want to be.
