It means so much to me to be able to collaborate with other small business owners. Who knew a random message I sent to a local photographer for advice last year would turn into an amazing professional relationship. Becky's work is amazing and her mentorship has meant the world to me. If you are looking for winter/holiday photos, check out @studiobephotography

This week I cleaned and organized my greenhouse so that I could deck it out for the holidays. I set up 2 different winter settings and this weekend will work on a 3rd with old windows. If you are having holiday or winter pictures, consider Sheba Acres. Have your photographer reach out at shebaacres@gmail.com.

I've been spending evenings and mornings collecting seeds. It has allowed me to spend sunsets and sunrises out in the field. It is such a calming place to start and end my day.

If you are looking for a place for family photos, photographers can book an hour in the field. Reach out at shebaacres@gmail.com to schedule. Likely only 2 more weeks of flowers before frost!

Flower U-Pick open until 8PM tonight.

There are places that feel a little bit like a secret.

Sheba Acres is one of those places!

I had the joy of returning for a second shoot with one of my beautiful seniors, Campbell, and this time I found myself just as captivated by the setting as I was by the girl in front of my camera.

Rows and rows of flowers, perfectly tucked into the landscape with clover growing between them. Butterflies floating from bloom to bloom. Bees humming through the gardens. A beautiful greenhouse catching the light. An old-fashioned stick-built barn that feels like it was made for photographs.

It’s all so beautifully cared for, yet still feels natural and completely at home in the countryside.
And that’s what I love most about Sheba Acres—it isn’t just a pretty backdrop. It has a feeling.

A place for senior portraits, family sessions, branding, editorial work, or simply creating something beautiful for the sake of creating. The greenhouse and barn are available to rent for photographers and creatives, making this little flower farm such a special setting for a session.

And while you’re there, stay awhile. Pick your own flowers, wander through the gardens, stop by the farm stand for freshly cut blooms, and don’t leave without trying some of their sourdough goodies.

There is something so lovely about a place that grows beautiful things—and invites you in to enjoy them.
@shebaacres , you are a dream. 🤍

And this was such a fun shoot to photograph. I already know I’ll be looking for reasons to come back.

It looks like really heavy rain and storms until noon so I will 'open' the farmstand at noon. If it is still raining, I will keep one of the doors closed to limit rain inside the farmstand. Bouquets have started to make a more fall color transition but I'm all for it. Yellow & purple bouquets are always my favorite. Here is a sneak peek of what is going in the stand at noon!
