Lord I thank you for allowing me to see 40. My 20s were challenging but you held me up and brought me through. Those challenges brought me closer to you. My 30s was full of heartache and pain but you should me what walking in your love looked like. You revealed to me what growth, maturity, and integrity looks like. Lord I need 40 to be the best chapter. I'm ready to live life and be surrounded by people who genuinely love me. Lord remove all people and things that mean me no good. Cut off the leeches, spectators, users, abusers, backstabbers, and whatever else tries to enter into my space that is not of you. Allow me to stay focused on the call you have for me and not the things and people that try to destroy. I thank you Lord for every trial and tribulation and every tear I shed. You are truly Building Me. Take the blinders off and allow me to see more than ever before. Reveal those hidden things and allow my discernment to be stronger than ever before. And as I continue to be a woman of strength, integrity, morals, and wisdom, allow me to continue to plant life changing seeds. And I ask all these things in Jesus name. I tried to think of the perfect pictures to post to go with the right words to say. But too many things came to mind so here I go with this right here. Happy Steel Year Anniversary. The 11th year of marriage signifies strength, durability, and long lasting partnership. I honestly didn't think we would make it after year 5. I didn't think we could get through the trial of year 9. One thing I've never stopped doing was looking to God for guidance. Often times when we move out of God’s will we tend to forget his promises. Marriage is more than a pretty dress and a room full of people. It's more than just optics and good food. To me, it's more than a vow. Just like telling someone you love them, it's all just words that can be spoken to anyone. Just like "I love you", vows are actions. One thing I've never done is promise you anything. I'm not one to make promises that I can't keep. I never promised or sold you a version of myself that wasn't realistic. I never sold you a dream. One thing I did promise was to always cover you. I got that sowed up, lol. I've stood by you through it all. I've loved you even in pain. Marriage is work and isn't for the weak or selfish. I've experienced a lot in 11 years and looking forward to our greatest experiences for the rest of our lives. I love you more today than yesterday because no matter what we always find our way. This picture sums up who The Henry's really are. Two imperfect people who always choose each other. A bond that will never be broken. Tough as steel baby. I love you hubby boo bear.
