Hi, Im thinking of going on the Holistic Holidays cruise which will be coming out shortly 6-18 March 2027 from Miami around the Carribbean. Would you be interested in going with me? Its whole food plant based food, yoga/pilates, and lots of inspiring speakers who have defeated various diseases... like cancer! While visiting cool places in the Caribbean and Central America with people like you. They have a very cool survivor panel which I have been on before... Would anyone be interested to join me? If yes drop me an email on projectradicalremission@gmail.com . I think you can get a $50 credit in the bookstore on board if we go together. We could have a gang... I saw one of our dear friends on Sunday and he said:

"Every time I see you, I look at you and I just think, MIRACLE. She is a walking miracle."

"And I also know that if I hadn't SEEN it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. You were literally dying before us. You were so sick and then you got so thin and you looked so ill... Except there was pure determination that you were going to do everything not to let that happen.

And I do wonder, of all the stuff you did, the diet and the exercise and all that, how much was just having that mindset that you were not going to give up? Was that the key thing?"

I can't prove it. But I know what it felt like when 4 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable pancreatic cancer. And I just knew there was a way to beat it.

If you're newly diagnosed and reading this: there are people who made it through. I'm one of them. Don't give up. Do you know someone who needs to know it's possible?

Huge thanks to the Macmillan Centre for letting me try a new therapy this morningโ€”Emmett Technique! ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ

The main goal was lymphatic drainage, which Iโ€™ve been slightly obsessed with lately. It works through ultra-light touches and gentle brushes on very specific pressure points.

I felt instantly relaxed and super sleepy throughout the 45-minute session. Afterwards, my body was clearly flushing things out (I was warned my urine might smell strong, and it definitely did! ๐Ÿ˜…).

Has anyone else ever heard of Emmett therapy before? If you tried it drop a comment and tell me about how you found it by @shedareslive

I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2022 + was found to be zinc deficient.

My doctors told me zinc is inversely correlated with CRP โ€” high CRP = low zinc.

That got me researching zinc and cancer, and honestly, some of the research is fascinating. The study in the image found zinc deficiency was associated with cancer development in 67% of animals, compared with 0% on a high-zinc diet. Zinc also affected 100+ genes involved in the immune response.

Zinc doesnโ€™t stay in the body for long, so I take 15mg 3x a day.

It has worked brilliantly for me, especially clearing brain fog. โค๏ธ

I also think we should be looking much harder at basic deficiencies in cancer patients generally โ€” zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D, B12 especially.

Deficiencies don't cause cancer but if your body is deficient in something it needs, surely itโ€™s worth knowing about? And it definitely needs fixing! Often its difficult to get doctors to test these so sometimes I just try them for a little while and see if I feel better as there is not a lot of downside.

Iโ€™m 4 years post-diagnosis and still here. And nutrition, exercise, research and everything Iโ€™ve learned along the way have been a huge part of my journey.
Have you ever had your vitamin and mineral levels checked? Is there someone you think should get their levels checked?

Follow me and follow my journey. โค๏ธ taken in Chiddingstone Castle by @shedareslive

Ever since my cancer diagnosis, something really strangeโ€”and wonderfulโ€”has been happening. Or maybe itโ€™s all in my head, but animals have started reacting to me completely differently.

โ€‹Horses, cats, and dogs are suddenly just happy to snuggle up with me. Even in one case a stingray allowed me to have an extended cuddle. Animals come right up, needing to be stroked, and some dogs will actually bark at me until I start petting them! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿด

โ€‹A friend of mine who is a nutritionist (and a fellow triple-negative breast cancer survivor) noticed it with her own dog, who usually isn't great with strangers. She thinks it might be down to my whole-food, plant-based dietโ€”that cutting out processed foods has changed my natural scent and pheromones, making animals act differently around me.

โ€‹Then last night, this little fellow (a black dog so not super visible in photo but I promise he is there!) kicked up a real fuss, barking non-stop at me just so I would stroke him. Bizarrely enough, his name was Herbieโ€”the exact same name as my son!

โ€‹Sophie Sabbage actually talks about this same phenomenon in The Cancer Whisperer. As a huge animal lover, it feels like such a special, comforting privilege.
โ€‹Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? Iโ€™d love to hear! โค๏ธ taken in Royal Tunbridge Wells by @shedareslive

โ€‹This account (@disappointingaffirmations) has me rolling around in laughter every day at the moment. This was yesterday's post.
โ€‹Oftentimes, thereโ€™s this unspoken pressure on cancer patients to be 'graceful', 'grateful', or always looking on the bright side. While that works for some, I found that was not a necessary condition for my healing.
โ€‹In fact, sometimes the only thing that works is to be completely blunt. Telling people to fuck off was necessary multiple times. The medical system isn't going to just volunteer the best path for you; unless you are the squeaky wheel, unless you know what it is you need, and unless you seek out the options you haven't been told about, nothing changes.
โ€‹No one else is the captain of my healing ship. And no one else is the captain of yours.

โ€‹As someone who has been navigating stage 4 pancreatic cancer for four years, I have to be extremely careful with my health. Everyday choices take on a whole new weight when your organ function is fragile!

โ€‹I recently saw a social media post by someone who had just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer saying it wouldnโ€™t stop them from going out for a spicy curry that evening. While I love their spirit, for meโ€”and for many others in this boatโ€”indulging in something like a super spicy curry isn't just a meal. It's a trigger that could literally land me in the hospital with acute pancreatitis, or worse.

โ€‹๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐š๐ง๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ?
Pancreatitis is a severe, potentially life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas. When you are already managing pancreatic cancer, avoiding triggers that cause acute inflammation is critical to staying safe and out of the emergency room.

If you or someone you know experiences these symptoms after eating, seek medical attention immediately:
โ€ข Severe, steady pain in the upper abdomen that may radiate to the back
โ€ข Nausea and severe vomiting
โ€ข Fever and chills
โ€ข Rapid heart rate
โ€ข A tender, swollen abdomen

Managing stage 4 cancer can be done, but it means being hyper-aware of what your body can and cannot handle. This is a reminder of how quickly a food trigger can turn into a serious medical emergency.
โ€‹Listen to your body, take symptoms seriously, and always consult your healthcare team about any digestive red flags! With pancreatic cancer, maybe a less spicy meal of defiance would be a better choice! ๐Ÿ›

Honestly, Iโ€™m bored of hearing that the rise in chronic illness is simply down to the definition of that illness changing. ๐Ÿ˜•

Yes, definitions can change. And yes, that can affect how many people are labelled as having a condition.

But that doesnโ€™t explain away the very real number of people who are genuinely unwell.

Just look around us. Look at what people are eating. Look at how little we move, how much time we spend sitting, how poorly many people sleep, the stress weโ€™re under and the environmental exposures weโ€™re dealing with.

We have to be willing to look at the causes and the environment that is making people sick โ€” not just argue about where we draw the diagnostic line.

As someone who was diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has done so well in changing my outcomes, I find it incredibly frustrating when the conversation becomes about definitions rather than asking a much bigger question:
Why are so many people genuinely getting sick in the first place?

Changing a definition might change a statistic but it doesnโ€™t make a sick person well.

We need to focus on prevention, healthier food, movement, sleep, stress and the environmental factors we can change.
That could really change things. โค๏ธ by @shedareslive
