I remember this time last year when my life was going in shambles. Funny thing is that my entire life shattered before my eyes within one week. The only means of livelihood—the three jobs I had—all vanished within one week, my mental health was deteriorating, I was also in a very not-so-great environment that was quelling my light and giving me consistent anxiety and my then relationship was already going sour. I was genuinely going through a lot. I had no money. I was really confused about life and what to do. So much chaos.

It was a tumultuous time in my life. And in that season, I truly learnt about the goodness and kindness of my God. I learnt that Jesus is truly enough for me. I learnt to still see the picture of a good God regardless of my existing circumstance.

When my woman of God @ebeletheservant released this song, I was having my devotion one the morning on the 17th of July when I received a notification that she just posted a song. I was really delighted [I was technically the first to see it on YouTube, lol]. I quickly played it and the rest they say is history. I fell deeply in love with the song. So deeply in love with it.

This isn’t just another cover for me. It’s a lived experience. This song means so much to me. So so much. I hope it blesses you.

God is truly kind. I love Him dearly. God bless you, ma, for this timeless sound. This song is deeply personal to me. Very good for my soul.💛

I really don’t think I love the Lord enough. I mean, I’m trying but I don’t think I love Him enough. I literally want to wake up everyday and the desire lurking in my heart is to passionately pursue Jesus-without a ministry, without a platform even when there’s no one watching.

I want that even the quiet contemplations of my heart are evidences of the love and devotion to Him.

David said in Psalms 63:6 and I quote, “On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.”

I don’t think that is true in my life. I’m not always thinking of the Lord Jesus and that baffles my heart thoroughly. I just look at my life and see how grossly lacking my love for the Lord is.

It’s just a simple desire in my heart to be consumed by fervent love.

The desire to just want to want God. If not anything, I want to experience this in a mighty measure in my lifetime.
