Something shifted today.

We're close. Really close. And I've started talking to women outside my circle; strangers, essentially, just asking them where they hurt and what they need.

The answers broke me open a little.

Not because they were surprising. Because they were identical. Same ache, different women, different lives. That kind of confirmation doesn't just validate the work, it makes it feel urgent.

She EmpowHers isn't a nice-to-have. It's a gap that should have been filled a long time ago.

We're building it with everything we've got.

What's your tell? 👀
Mine: I pace, I fidget, and my texts start sounding like HR is reading them. 😅
So I pause. "Give me a minute." Phone down. Walk away.
But if you pause it, you have to come back to it. That's how you look after the relationship.

What's yours? Tell me below 👇

We’ve got another voice joining the conversation! 💅🏽

Kimmah Lewis, Founder & CEO of @sheempowhers.app, is officially joining the @dopethinkher speaker lineup during @afro.tech week in Houston!

She’s already helping bring the event to life as our presenting sponsor, and now she’s bringing her perspective to the table as we talk business, culture and ownership.

Are you ready?! by @sheempowhers.app

You typed it. Deleted it. Typed it again. Then sent "It's fine."

You know exactly what you need to say. You just don't want to be too much, or start something, or lose them. So you stay quiet. Again.

The words are already in you. Izzy helps you say them clearly and kindly.

The appointments she keeps for everyone else. The one she keeps almost making for herself.

This is what carrying it all actually looks like. It's not dramatic. It's Tuesday.

She EmpowHers is built for the woman who is finally ready to put herself on the list.

You pulled into the driveway twenty minutes ago. You're still in the car. Not because the song was good. Because the second you walk through that door, you're needed again.

That's not a personality quirk. That's what carrying everyone looks like.

Girl, taking care of yourself should not require an emergency. 👀💜

For a long time, I was everybody's go-to person. And I wore that title proudly.

Until my body started telling me what I refused to acknowledge: I couldn't keep being everything to everybody and nothing to myself.

That's when I adopted a simple rule: One on, one off.

If something new comes onto my plate, something else has to come off.

Because being available to everyone else shouldn't mean being unavailable to yourself.

This #SelfCareSunday, I want you to think about something:

What's taking up space on your plate that no longer deserves a place there?

Let's talk about it in the comments. 💜

You said no. You held it. And now the guilt is loud.

That guilt doesn't mean you made the wrong call. It means you're not used to choosing yourself yet.

When the guilt shows up right after you do the right thing for you, Ask Izzy. She's there in that moment, inside She EmpowHers.

Bathroom Therapy. Episode 1 of a series nobody's talking about.

You didn't really need to go. You needed five minutes where nobody needed you. A locked door. A little quiet. A minute to just exist.

That's not a bathroom break. That's what it looks like when a woman has been last on her own list for too long.

You deserve more than five stolen minutes. If you've been hiding just to breathe, comment BETA below. by @sheempowhers.app

This is not a dramatic glow-up. It is not a perfectly healed version of her.

It is small, real, specific shifts that happen when a woman actually does the work. Saying "that doesn't work for me." Trusting her own decision. Asking for help before she's empty. Catching the pattern while it's happening.

If you see yourself in the "before," that's the invitation. Comment BETA below. by @sheempowhers.app

Girl, who's watering YOUR garden? 🌱👀

It’s okay to feel frustrated or disappointed when people don’t show up as hoped. But how long will you put your happiness, joy, and growth on hold, waiting for someone else to change?

You can’t control their growth—but you can choose how you respond, what you nurture, and where you invest your energy.

This Self-Care Sunday, we’re tending to OUR gardens. 💜

Where are you waiting for someone else to water your garden—and how can you start watering it yourself?

Your becoming doesn’t have to wait for someone else’s growth. 🌸
