02/07/2011 ~ 04/09/2024 🐾 Lucky’s Story: That dash between the dates above represents so much more than a normal dog’s life. On the 20th of August 2010 my sister and I lost our younger sister, and on the 20th of August 2011 our family adopted little Lucky and she became our third sister. For 13 years she filled a void in our hearts she never needed to fill. Lucky you took our burdens, struggles and sadness and the joy and love you gave us will never be forgotten 💔 You bonded our family together and you were the reason I always looked forward to coming home everyday. For almost a decade we were roommates and my room and our home will never feel the same again. The house feels empty and I keep looking for you. For 13 years we did life together and I’m unsure how I’ll do the rest without you… You gave my life purpose and you are the reason I am here today. Thank you for giving me the privilege of taking care of you specially during these last 18 months. From Cushings disease, to recovering from cancer, to being diagnosed with diabetes, to struggling to walk recently and eventually losing your sight, every vet and everyone who knew you called you what you were, ‘A Fighter’. You fought until you couldn’t fight anymore little sis and we are forever grateful for the mark you left on our lives. We named you Lucky but you blessed our lives. Enjoy the grass, naps and snacks in heaven now, free from pain and sickness. I’ll live the rest of my life for you. Until we meet again, rest easy my baby, we will never forget you ❤️🐶 by @sheenamarcina
