Leadership Development thought for the week -

I’m sitting on a plane in Glasgow waiting to take off to meet a client in London today, and as is often the case, I wondered why….

Today it’s why it’s important to de-ice the wings!

Turns out ice stuck to the can alter their shape meaning the airflow over the wings is altered, and the ‘lift’ they provide is impaired - so the wings are less effective. (The green on the picture is the de-icer they’ve just applied!)

So that set me thinking, what gets ‘frozen’ onto my clients as leaders and impairs their effectiveness and ability to ‘fly’? And what about teams? What might be ‘frozen on’ to your leadership team?

If you think you or your team could use a spot of de-icing, working with a coach to get that done could be just the start to the year that you need.
