I've been thinking for a long time about what to write because I feel like it’s just never going to be enough.

I've always been an introvert, even as a child. A shy girl with very low self-confidence. Mostly alone. Sickly anxious. And one day, depression came into my life to keep anxiety company. My early 20s weren't the easiest years for me. There was a time I didn't want to adult ... literally.

You'll probably ask me where Ed fits into all of this. The thing is, he just does. He belongs here. When I think about the past fifteen years, he's one of the only constants in my life and I feel like I'm still growing up alongside him. Ed is this little spark of joy that makes me smile on a day when I really don't feel like smiling. I've simply lived, survived and grown so much with him.

I fell in love, like really, really in love, for the first time around the time Divide came out. Those songs became the soundtrack to our relationship. We stayed together for nine years and even though that chapter has ended, I'll always hold on to our most beautiful memories whenever I listen to that album.

My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer four years ago and passed away four months later. I found peace in listening to Afire Love, a song that still acts as a lifeline whenever I think of the most wonderful man anyone could have as a grandfather. Last year, Ed sang Afire Love for him and for me, and it felt like closure, like a nod from my grandpa saying "You'll be alright."

After my grandfather passed, Ed released Subtract and started being more open about his own struggles and demons. Depression and darkest thoughts, grief... It all came at a time when I was diving back into one of my lowest points. I'll always say it: that album saved me. Ed made me feel seen and understood. Loved even.
I have so many more memories of Ed's music intertwined with my personal experiences, but those are the ones that really made me who I am today.

"Afire Love for my grandpa, please 🤍". Ed chose to sing it and it felt like my heart started to heal at last as our eyes kept meeting. A moment I'll never forget. I honestly will never thank him enough for this.

On Friday, I held a sign where I wrote "You sang and I survived. Thank you Ed." during Photograph. I needed him to know he is saving lives.
He will never know what this moment we shared together mean to me. Thank you @teddysphotos. ❤️

"Real talk time: I got diagnosed with chronic depression in August 2010. That makes it 15 years ago, I was 18. Went through good and bad times. Infinite amount of bad times. I never thought I would actually see my 20th year. But here I am: 33 years old and better! I became a fan of Ed in 2014. Everything started to change after that. Thanks to Ed's music, to this tour, to the friends I've made along the way and the years, to this account, I'm on my way to a better me. Stronger. More confident. Self-loving. This is what Ed, his band, his crew, the Mathematics Tour mean to me.Thank you for everything. ❤️"

I still have one gig left. The very last one of the tour. But I already know I'll remember it forever.

I just needed @teddysphotos wearing the @ipswichtown x @callmeteditfc third kit on my page for obvious reasons. 🖤 It looks perfect! 🤌

I’ll be at Portman Road on Friday, wish the kit was out already so I could wear it to the game. Next time I guess. Hella excited for the game though! Can't wait to see the boys on the pitch and Delap on the other team, it's gonna be a good one! COYB 🚜
