As the years pass, the gold will gather tiny marks from everyday life, each one a quiet reminder of moments shared. When I started Sheikhen, I had no plan, no education in jewelry making, and no idea where it would lead me.

I just had an old silver spoon and a desire to create something meaningful.

Everything that followed came from years of trial and error. Long nights in the workshop. Countless failed attempts. Starting over again and again. Teaching myself skills that many spend years studying. There were moments when I questioned everything, but I never stopped.

Today, seeing my story featured in Husflid Arv 3/2026 feels surreal. @norgeshusflidslag

To be recognized by one of Norway’s most respected magazines for traditional craftsmanship means more than I can put into words. Not because of the feature itself, but because it reminds me how far this journey has come.

What started with a single silver spoon has grown into something that has reached millions of people around the world. Through Sheikhen, I’ve had the privilege of introducing Norwegian silver, history, and culture to people who had never seen it before.

A huge thank you to @mortenlauveng, who captured my story and my work in such a genuine way.

This summer also brought two milestones I’m incredibly proud of. Sheikhen is now available at @bestebakken in Hafslo, a place that celebrates craftsmanship, heritage, and quality. My products are also available in the new @visithaugesund store, in the city I proudly call home. Seeing my work represented in Haugesund means more than I can describe.

To everyone who has followed this journey, shared a video, bought a piece, or simply believed in what I do. Thank you.

A few years ago, it was just me, a silver spoon, and a dream.

Today, that dream is being told in the pages of Norway’s leading craftsmanship magazine.
