Today is Harrison’s last official day of senior year so of course, I had to grab one final picture of him in his school uniform. As Greg and I sent him off this morning, the tears came quickly. It’s hard not to reflect on how far we’ve come.

@gtbrooks2000 has been there since Harrison’s very first day of kindergarten. Before Billy passed, he asked Greg to step in as a father and he has done so wholeheartedly. It’s been just over a year since we lost Billy, and I know he would be so proud of the young man Harrison is today.

These last few years have been anything but easy, but Harrison’s resilience, faith, and mindset have carried him through. With God’s grace, we know he’s ready for whatever comes next.

Thank you to Christ’s Church Academy for making this final year so special, and to all of Harrison’s friends who rallied around him when he needed it most.

Tonight, we witnessed the end of a remarkable season as our boys faced off against the former state champions in a playoff game that kept us on the edge of our seats until the final quarter. Though we didn’t walk away with the win, we couldn’t be prouder of our team. Being among the top four in the state is an incredible achievement, and they have given us memories to cherish forever.

This night also holds a special place in our hearts as it marks the last time Harrison will wear his uniform as a senior. His father would have been so proud of him, as we all are. His dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership have left an indelible mark on this team.

To the parents who cheered tirelessly, the coaching staff who led with passion, and the players who gave their all, thank you. Your support and unwavering spirit have made this season unforgettable.

Here’s to every tackle, every play, and every moment that brought us together. We celebrate not just the game, but the journey, the bonds, and the heart that made this team more than just a team. We are proud beyond words. taken in The Master's Academy by @sheilaswinney
