As we head into 2025, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been promoted to International Chair of the @worldskateofficial Scootering Technical Commission. My time as Pan-American Chair over the past three years has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve learned so much along the way. I’m excited to take on this new role as World Chair and continue pushing the sport of scootering to new heights alongside an amazing team of talented individuals on this journey.I’m also thrilled to announce that @codylacroix will be stepping in as the new Pan-American Chair. I have full confidence in Cody and look forward to working closely with him to keep pushing the sport forward in the Pan-America region! And don’t worry—everyone’s favorite Finn, @helmeri_pirinen, is staying on as European Chair! Let’s keep the momentum going!2025 is going to be a big year! The world lost a good one. This man is an absolute legend in the scooter community. Fernando has helped put on some of the biggest events in scootering and helped bring the sport to a whole new level in Spain. Fernando was the most accommodating person I have ever worked with. He’s also one of the sweetest and nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. My heart is broken. My thoughts go out to Fernando’s family and friends. Last roll of film from Japan 🎞️ 🇯🇵 Everyone warned me about Japan like “good luck leaving” and I was like nah, I’m ready to go home. One week of Worlds, one week in Tokyo, a messed-up knee, and walking 20k steps a day had me completely cooked. Fast-forward a month and wow… I was wrong. I miss the late-night 7/11 runs, FamilyMart iced coffees, the chaos, the lights, the sounds, the vibes, and yes I’ll say it again, the toilets (heated seats changed me). Would I live there? ✨2025 ✨Big year.A lot of time on planes, on the ice, and settling back into life in Arizona. New places, familiar ones, and a schedule that’s never boring.Lost 60 pounds. Played a lot of hockey. Japan Film Dump 1: SakaiBought a Kodak Ektar H35N specifically for this trip. I’m very slowly getting into film again but felt like this trip wasn’t the time to bust out the old canon SLR sitting in my closet. I wasn’t trying to lug around two different large camera bodies around Japan. Worlds 2025…This one meant a lot. It took me nearly two weeks to process everything that happened, because this was the most demanding and draining event I’ve ever been part of, but also one of the most rewarding.I need to give a massive thank you to the team at @worldskateofficial and especially my TC. None of them are paid. They volunteer their time, their energy, and their whole hearts. Long days, early mornings drying the park, fixing ramp damage, these events simply don’t happen without them. I hope more people understand the real, physical work behind the scenes that keeps a world championship running.Even with the rain taking out our street final, this contest was unreal. The park final reminded me why I love this sport. It was also the first time I wasn’t behind the camera, I was there in my role as international chair, and getting to actually watch the riding live was incredible. Scootering belongs on every major stage, big ramps included, and this event proved it.Onto the next 🇵🇾#worldskate #scootering by @shelbygrimnes

September 🤳🏼 What a month!Started off in Norway 🇳🇴 overseeing the @worldskateeu Scootering Championships with the dream team 🙌🏼 Finally got to visit the country my ancestors came from, which made it even more special.Then straight to Des Moines, Iowa 🇺🇸 for the last @usascootering qualifier. The park was insane, and honestly the city surprised me in the best way.
