Current Reads 🎪

Took a little break on posting and I've been slacking on my reading this month but this is what I'm diving into this week.

I'm actually almost finished with the Knucklebone Brothers. It hooked me yesterday and before I knew it, it was 1am and now I'm 80% done with it 😅 If you like a good freak show, dark romance (and I do mean dark- pls check the trigger warnings) with 2 brothers in masks, add it to your lists. @athena.author I knew I would be obsessed and I was right!

Also starting Reliquary as an audio book/ immersive read. I've seen this one floating around and I needed to get my hands on it. Psychological horror sounds right up my alley.

Will To Run 🎨

You know I absolutely love Kelly's books, so when I saw she was putting out a cowboy romance, I was immediately excited. And believe me, this met every expectation. A run away bride stumbles into a cute cowboy in a garage when she needs help fixing her car. The chemistry is instant, the spice is spicy. Add all that with small town and found family tropes and it's an early Christmas present to me. As much as it was cute and spicy, it was also very healing and heartwarming to read Della's story. Please pick this book up and add it to your lists. It comes out Wednesday September 23rd!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you @kellyoreillyauthor and @theauthor.agency for the ARC! I so look forward to more books from this series 👀

Happy Tuesday friends 🤠

On top of reading The Knave and the Moon, I started reading Will to Run by @kellyoreillyauthor

I'm eating it up already! Started it at work yesterday, and I'm already about 40% in. I love a cowboy romance so much. Kelly, you have outdone yourself with this one!
Please, if you have not read Kelly's A Little Bit series, I beg you to read them. It's a finished series, and they're all small-town, interconnected standalones. And then, go pick this book up! Or hell, pre order it now! I can already tell you this is going to be an amazing series to follow! 🤎

Current reads 🩸

Reading an arc of The Cannibal - absolutely loving it, I'll devour anything with vampires. This is the third book in the series. Start with The Poisoner, read it and thank me later.
Also starting Bone of my Bone. I love Johanna Van Veen and I've let this one sit on my tbr for long enough.

Heir of Prophecy ✨

"I will be as a starved man for the rest of my life, now that I've tasted the flavor of your desire. All other emotions will choke me, ash upon my tongue."

I am loving all the dark academia books I'm reading this year and this has definitely been a favorite. A secret heir born in a human realm, kidnapped to the fae realm to train in their magic academy while being protected by a demon prince. There's so many elements to this book- a magic system, a war between fae and demons, found family, slow burn, yearning and there's so much more I could go on for forever. I love that this book spent time on the human and fae realms but I'm excited for book 2 to learn about the demons. 4.5⭐️

This book is out today!

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Voyager books for the ARC 🫶🏻

Q: If you could study magic, what type would you study? -I'm picking elememtal but also necromancy sounds cool. by @shelbyslittlelibrary

Current reads 💟

I have been waiting for so long to get my hands on Daybreak and I'm just now getting around to reading it. I decided to buy the audio and do an immersive read- I'm a sucker for an audio book with accents.
Also ARC reading Heir of Prophecy. A book with a hidden identity in a magic academia setting? Yes yes yes 🙌🏼

💭Do you have a favorite book with an interesting magic system?

Death Card🔮

ARC Review✨
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the arc!

Okay this was the cutest read. A standalone sapphic witchy mystery with magic and tarot readings? Yes please! Really had a hard time putting it down trying to piece together the mystery in this. I loved the world building and the backstory of the main characters and how the author portrayed the dynamic of the coven. I honestly wish it was longer and had a little bit more info of the other witch covens as well. Regardless this was a very good and quick read!
4⭐️ This book comes out August 11th!

Fervor

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's like if my sleep paralysis demon was hot af and ate the hearts of my enemies.

Every Meg Smitherman book gets better and better. I absolutely love her fever dream stories. Never had any idea where this was going at any point, and that's what I enjoy so much about her books. It's suspenseful and unsettling but spicy at the same time. She blends horror and romance so well and I eat it up every time! This book is out today so go add it to your tbr's!

Thank you to Meg and her team for the ARC!

Currently rotating between these 2. I swear I didn't plan to have a summerween themed reading list, it just kinda happened. Not mad at it though!
