Luke Walsh is nothing short of a God-send. One of those faithful, cherished friends. There are few who encourage the way you do.

Five short hours and I left refreshed. Inspired. Rested. Challenged. Your faith—and the way you listen to God—beckons me toward more listening, quicker obedience. Your honesty about life and its aches strengthens me. Your empathy and humility remind me of Jesus. Your pastoral posture seems to come without effort, but I know by God’s grace it’s hard won.

I won’t forget what you said about a guilty conscience and a clean one. Or how you see God shaping the people you love, even through suffering. Over grilled cheeses and parmesan fries (still convinced they tasted like funnel cake), I was learning from you.

I’ll be singing “What I Needed” until the next time we’re together. And holding onto your reflections on mercy and refining—sobering and hopeful at once.

Birthday: an annual reminder to slow down, reflect, and celebrate:

Waking today keenly aware of God's KINDNESS to me. The season is gentle, and life is full. Purpose in work. Joy in rest. Riches, oh what riches, in the people beheld and relationships we share.

I look forward to the moments, months, and seasons ahead, the memories to come, and the man I'll find myself to be. But today, I'm content. Enriched. Blessed.
