just give me my little books and my little drinks 🎀

little disclaimer: this post was designed by me, no generative AI was used. I only used Canva’s editing tools, including background removal, which unfortunately can cause Instagram to label content as AI-generated 🤍 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookishhumor #bookmemes readerlife by @shelf.control.issues

one reading challenge wasn’t enough for me lol. while i’m working my way through all 50 states, i realized i’m only 6 letters away from finishing the alphabet too 😳

this one should definitely be easier to finish first… and if i can knock out a letter AND a state with the same book, even better

i still need G, K, Q, V, X & Z so pleaseeee give me your recs! i’ll keep updating both challenges as i go 🤍🍁🥂maybe one day i’ll restart this challenge and actually try to do the whole alphabet within one year

Buddy read ✨

The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez

We had fun buddy reading because this book was made for it. There was just so much to unpack and talk about.

There were deer incidences, face painting disasters, parties and weekend trips away that just went haywire. But without spoiling too much, and please do not swipe through post if you do not want spoilers, it had some morally grey areas that had us testing how we would feel in this situation.

Yes, we were happy with how the ending went, but saddened by other things. Is this a good book? Yeah, okay. Is it testing your grey areas? Definitely. Would we recommend it? With caution.

💬 Have you read this yet? If so, what were your thoughts on it?

trying to read my way through all 50 states 📖🇺🇸

the only rule: the book has to actually take place in that state. currently working on Georgia

I’ll keep updating this as I go, so send me recs for my empty spots!! 🤍

moving is over!! unpacking is absolutely not!! but I live with my man now and he’s learning very quickly that dating a book girl comes with a lot of additional square footage. luckily for me, I now live with someone who can do the heavy lifting 📚🤭

books that have either gotten me out of a reading slump before or had me so hooked that i’m convinced they could🫰

basically my personal list of books to reach for when nothing sounds good

save for future slump emergencies! 🚨

gave my boyfriend absolutely no context and asked him to name these books based on the covers 🤨

somehow he created an entire ‘Vacation Near Some Blue Ass Water’ cinematic universe and honestly I respect the commitment 🌊
