Book Review 📖✨

After reading The Perfect Marriage, I had high hopes for One of Us Is Dead by @jenevaroseauthor. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. 😭

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Think Desperate Housewives on steroids. Rich, gossipy women, messy friendships, and enough drama to keep the whole neighborhood talking. 💅

Don’t get me wrong, this was a fun, snarky read and I enjoyed the drama. BUT I was hoping for more suspense. It just didn’t have me frantically turning the pages like her other books did. 👀

Read this if you like:

Have you read One of Us Is Dead? If so, what did you think about it? 👀📖

The scariest thing about spooky season? My bank account 👻📚💸

Dark, atmospheric, and full of twists, The Only One Left by @riley.sager kept me on my toes 👀

More than 50 years after Lenora Hope was accused of murdering her family, her new caregiver arrives at Hope’s End and gets the chance to learn what really happened.

The creepy mansion, decades-old mystery, and constant twists made this one hard to put down.

Just when I thought I had it figured out, the story changed again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did you see the ending coming?

Book Review 📖✨

Three friends. Three marriages. And apparently a LOT of secrets. 👀

The suburban setting was a big part of what made this one work for me. It had such a Desperate Housewives feel with all the secrets, messy relationships, and drama happening behind closed doors.

✨ domestic suspense
✨ messy friendships
✨ secrets + betrayal
✨ murder mystery
✨ multiple suspects

Is it even spooky season if you don’t read a @riley.sager book?

Book Review 📖✨

I started This Is Me just a few days after @haydenpanettiere died, and I went back and forth on whether I wanted to post a review when I finished it. Reading her story so soon after her death made this one feel different. 💔

Hayden is incredibly open about growing up in the spotlight, the struggles she faced behind the scenes, and the parts of her life the public never really saw. Knowing what happened made some of her words hit especially hard.

Like so many people, I grew up watching her on screen. Reading this made me think less about the characters we knew and more about the person behind them. I’m grateful she had the chance to tell her story in her own words.

Book Review 📖✨

This one was recommended to me, and with the @verityfilm coming out soon, I knew I had to see what all the hype was about. And WOW… what did I just read?! 😭

Verity by @colleenhoover had me hooked. It was dark, twisted, and disturbing. Those last few chapters?! I was SHOOK 👀

✨ psychological thriller
✨ dark + full of secrets
✨ some spice 🌶️
✨ total page-turner

Have you read Verity? Tell me what you thought because I NEED to talk about that ending. 👀📖

Nothing beats finding a book you’ve been waiting for before release day 👀📚

I spotted Kiss Slay Replay by @rachelharrisonsghost at @barnesandnoble a day early, and obviously it came home with me. This one is 100% going on my September TBR 💀💍🩸

SYNOPSIS:
After a horrifying turn of events, Willa comes to understand that she’s stuck in a loop of carnage and terror that she must learn how to escape or else suffer a fate worse than death—being an eternal wedding guest.

A deadly time loop + wedding chaos + Rachel Harrison? Say less 👀

Does this sound like one you’d read? Add it to your TBR 📚
