Rest well, Gloria Steinem.
I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with her in Abu Dhabi on International Women’s Day at the Forbes 30/50 Summit. This picture was taken at a desert party. She was 88.
Her words, “Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning,” is exactly how I manifest my goals.

At 61, I just wrapped one of the most memorable experiences of my life: a Maxim magazine #photo shoot on the beaches of Florida.
Twenty-year-old me could never have imagined I’d be here.
For the past month, I ate a little cleaner, trained a little harder, got more sleep, and made this goal a priority. Not because I had something to prove, but because I wanted to show up as the best version of myself.
And I don’t regret a minute of it.
This experience reminded me of something I’ve come to believe.
Life isn’t about having one purpose. It’s about having a reason to keep growing.
Sometimes that reason is building a business. Sometimes it’s raising a family. Sometimes it’s caring for someone you love. Sometimes it’s getting healthy. Sometimes it’s simply becoming a little better than you were yesterday.
Our priorities change, and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
Life is lived in chapters. Some are spent building. Some are spent healing. Some are spent celebrating. Every chapter has something to teach us if we’re willing to embrace it.
I left this shoot feeling incredibly grateful for the talented team who made the experience so special. They made me feel confident, supported, and excited to step into this chapter.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
Never stop giving yourself something to look forward to.
It doesn’t have to be a magazine shoot. It doesn’t have to look anything like my journey.
Find something that excites you enough to take better care of yourself, to get out of bed with purpose, and to keep becoming the person you’re capable of being.
You are never too old to begin a new chapter. MaximMagazine

Watching my daughter graduate from Southern Methodist University with her Master’s in Finance has me so overwhelmed with pride.

She’s smarter than she is beautiful, which is really saying something. My heart is so full.
