Canada’s liquid gold, brought to life. 🍁✨🇨🇦👑

My national costume celebrates maple syrup, one of Canada’s sweetest traditions and a symbol deeply connected to my French Canadian heritage and Northern Québec roots. Growing up, du sirop d’érable avec ma grand maman was more than a treat; it was a memory of family, culture and home.

Created by Canadian designer @shelli_oh , this costume flows with liquid organza, rich amber and bronze tones, and cascading beaded drips transforming a Canadian tradition into a story I am so proud I got to carry onto the Miss Universe Canada stage!!

Canada’s liquid gold worn with pride, rooted in heritage.

The DRAGON DRESS made by @shelli_oh 🔥

Shelli is an incredible Canadian-Indonesian fashion designer who has dress me for several years and I’ve been so grateful to wear her work to the #canadianscreenawards . This dress is piece from her NEWEST collection and here is the background on the dress from Shelli below ❤️:

SHELLI: “my new collection represents a personal journey reflecting the integration of my indonesian heritage with who i have become over the years. it’s not a direct interpretation but the process of taking things that were a part of my childhood memories of my heritage and incorporating them into my designs. growing up as an indonesian canadian was not easy for me, and i wanted to take a moment and celebrate my journey.

the dragon dress worn by the incredible samantha wan is the warrior woman that resides in me now. the 3 dimensional fabric in the outer dress is like an armor, the scales reminiscent of a dragon. the fiery underskirt is that fire and spirit within. these features are combined with the delicate details that have become my staple”
