With the demise of Epicure, some of us needed to pivot and find an incredible, easy, delicious way for our customers.I found that with Sunset Gourmet❤

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. This day honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities who are still healing.

We celebrate the hard work that has been accomplished so far, but also recognize that Indigenous communities across North America still face many social injustices to this day.

This is bigger than just a single day of the year—more work is needed and we will continuously do our part with a goal of making every day better than the last.

As you reflect on today, we encourage you to listen to the stories of survivors with an open heart and to educate yourself on Indigenous culture.

Read, watch, and ask questions—the more knowledge you have, the more you can share with others. One simple conversation or act of kindness can make a genuine difference.

Epicure acknowledges that we operate on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, represented by the W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout), W̱SIḴEM (Tseycum), and MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) Nations. by @shellsiko

25 years ago the world literally stopped in horror. I remember it like it was yesterday. Driving into work at Video 1 and listening to the radio as the first airplane hit the first tower. Finishing the drive in a fog and running into work as we all crowded around the TV in the boardroom watching the horror unfold before our eyes. We all were holding our breath. Do I run home to be with my babies? Nobody knew what to do, while all feeling so helpless.

Then watching the first responders, my God, the victims....it was horrifying, gut wrenching. The heroes, the incredible stories of humanity. Yet it was part of history I wish we never saw 💔 by @shellsiko
